Keanu Reeves was forced to film sex scene with director's wife while he stood and watched

Reeves was more than a little uncomfortable on the set of Knock Knock, as the 2015 thriller had a very explicit sex scene.

Keanu Reeves might have had the most awkward day at work ever after he had to film a sex scene with the director's wife.

At the time, the actor had been filming Knock Knock with veteran director Eli Roth.

While most of us would have walked away from the job, the A-lister carried on regardless but admitted that he felt a little ‘weird’ on set.

For those who have not seen the 2015 thriller, Reeves stars as architect Evan Webber who is spending the night away from his family to work on an upcoming project.

As a storm looms overhead, the devoted father is suddenly greeted by two mysterious young women who show up at his door in the pouring rain.

Unable to send them away, he finds himself inexplicably drawn to the strangers and is ultimately seduced by them.

It’s then that the family man is pulled into a deadly cat-and-mouse game when the women turn on him.

Starring Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas as the deadly strangers, Knock Knock should have been an easy day’s work for a veteran actor like Reeves.

However, Izzo was the then-wife of Roth (they divorced in 2019) and understandably Reeves felt a little uncomfortable shooting such intimate scenes with his friend’s wife.

Speaking about this on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the actor tried to make light of the embarrassing situation.

When asked if he found the scene more uncomfortable than usual, the A-Lister joked: “Not for me Jimmy.”

However, the John Wick star did admit that he often found adult scenes ‘weird’, but had worked hard with his director and pal to ease an unintentional awkwardness.

However, this still didn’t totally solve the problem as Reeves explained: “Eli created a great situation of trust and rehearsals, but eventually you have to get naked and simulate and do…”

Donning a creepy voice, he joked: “I wasn’t that guy who was like, ‘Hey Eli your wife is hot’…you know like every day like, 'I can’t wait for this sex scene Lorenza looks amazing today’.”

Reeves even thanked the director for his support.

Proving that he is Hollywood’s ultimate nice guy, Reeves then thanks the director and producers for his support during the awkward shoot.

The Cyberpunk 2077 actor blushed, as he admitted to the viewers: “[Roth] was really cool. We had fun.”

Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to have ruined the pair’s friendship.

In fact, Roth was more than happy to shock audiences with the scene and even told press at the time: “I want people to come out of this movie going, ‘Oh my God, I completely didn’t expect it to go there.'”

Well, that's one way to do it.
