The world-famous actor Kevin Spacey has now officially been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service in the UK over four counts of sexual assault against three men.
The actor’s dramatic fall came as a shock to fans when allegations first emerged in 2017 amidst the #MeToo scandal.
As of 2022, Kevin Spacey has an estimated net worth of $70 million (£55.7 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Spacey has earned millions from films such as ‘Baby Driver’, ‘The Usual Suspects’ and ‘American Beauty’. His career spans 40 years, and is the recipient of two Academy Awards.
In 2017, Spacey came out as gay amid allegations that he had sexually assaulted a 14-year-old around 30 years ago.
He was soon suspended from Netflix show House of Cards, with his character, Frank Underwood, dying off-screen before Season 6.
Spacey was kicked off All the Money in the World and his scenes re-filmed with Christopher Plummer.
The following year, the 62-year-old appeared in character as Underwood in a creepy video defending Spacey’s actions.
In 2022, Spacey performed in the Italian film The Man Who Drew God. The plot centres around an artist charged with sexual abuse - and Spacey plays the police detective who investigates the charges.
The same year, he was forced to pay nearly $31 million (£23 million) to House of Cards producer MRC for breaching his contract by violating the company’s sexual harassment policy.
He has now been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service after alleged incidents in London between March 2005 and August 2008, and in Gloucestershire in April 2013.
And yet, Spacey is technically still allowed into the Academy, despite Will Smith’s ten-year ban…
