Fans of the hit TV series The Last of Us flagged an editing blunder in episode 6 that is now being compared to an epic moment from Game of Thrones. Check it out:

The post-apocalyptic HBO drama has garnered a lot of applause lately, owing to its praiseworthy adaptation based on the popular video game of the same name.

During the aerial shot in the midst of the episode, eagle-eyed fans spotted a bunch of crew members and one of them holding a Starbucks cup - who remained in camera's view to the left of the screen.

The major blunder occurs almost 14 minutes into the episode, and fans have already started to compare the moment with the Game of Thrones famous Starbucks cup error.

While The Last of Us has proved a hit, other live-action video game adaptations have been less successful.

Going back, a Starbucks cup on the table was left unedited near Emilia Clarke, who played the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the medieval show.

TikTok user @domineo32 spotted the error and played back a scene where Joel and Ellie were walking over a snow-covered bridge.

Ever since the gaffe was noticed, social media users couldn't stop laughing and sharing hilarious jibes at the film crew's mistake.

One fan, a guitarist and composer called Scott T Jones, responded to a tweet from The Last of Us' co-showrunner Neil Druckmann with a screenshot of the moment in question.

"Brilliant episode. Something you might want to fix and reupload though. You can see the film crew in this shot,"@stjguitarist said in his first tweet.

Jones couldn't resist poking fun at the screenshot by placing two large Starbucks graphics near where the crew members were seen.

"So it’s clear, in case anyone can’t see it. I highlighted the areas where the crew is standing. With a little humor," he added.

"Also, I LOVE both the game and the series. I’m not simply pointing out mistakes. But I’m sure they’d want to fix it."

However, one generous user tried to justify the blunder, by explaining the reason behind the extra people in the shot, he said: "Those were local survivors from the settlement, shooting new material for the town movie night. Maria & Tommy said they didn’t need film permits, it’s fine."

While the other user mocked the funny bloopers, the audience gets to see in the digital world these days, he said: "I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed this haha."

Another viewer remarked: "Better watch it now because soon it will change. Welcome to the online digital world."

One user said: "This is why I love the internet. It shows me things that I didn't know where there in the first place."

As we all know, there have been plenty of dramatic twists, turns, and cliffhangers in the last few episodes, but the most recent episode to air in the UK was highly praised by the female audience for the period representation.

The scene in question shows Ellie calling the menstrual cup 'gross' while inspecting, squeezing, and folding it as per the instructions on the pamphlet.
