Amber Heard Says Johnny Depp Held His Dog Out The Window Of A Moving Car And 'Howled Like An Animal’

Amber Heard Says Johnny Depp Held His Dog Out The Window Of A Moving Car And 'Howled Like An Animal’

She claimed Depp had consumed copious amounts of cocaine and hard liquor when the incident happened.

Amber Heard has claimed Johnny Depp dangled his pet dogs out of a moving car window, during her testimony in court on Wednesday (May 4).

The actor took to the stand to testify in Depp’s US$50 million (£38.2 million, AU$69 million) defamation lawsuit against her over domestic abuse claims she made in a 2018 article in The Washington Post.

She recalled an incident in March 2013 where she alleged Depp had consumed a copious amount of cocaine and alcohol.

She testified in Virginia’s Fairfax County Court that Depp held his dog out the window while 'howling like an animal', in response to accusing her of infidelity.

She said: “He grabs this teacup Yorkie and holds Boo out of the window of the moving car, and he's howling like an animal while holding the dog out the window.

"And everyone in the car — I'll never forget it — everyone just froze. No one did anything.

“I too was torn as to what I should do because I didn’t want to do anything to cause him to react and drop the dog.

“It was just this eerie moment where he was howling and holding this animal out the window… and I have this eerie memory of no one really reacting to him.”

Heard has described multiple instances where Depp allegedly acted in an abusive manner while on drugs and alcohol.

She described him as sweet when he was sober, but was controlling and violent when he was drinking and on cocaine.

She recounted the first occasion that the Pirates of the Caribbean star had allegedly hit her while choking back tears.

She told the court the first alleged assault happened after she asked Depp what a faded, 'muddled' tattoo on his arm said.

She told the court: "To me, it just looked like black marks, I didn't know what it said, so I said 'what does it say' and he said it says 'wino'.

"I laughed because I thought he was joking and he slapped me across the face."

Her voice started breaking as she opened up about the moment. She continued: "He slapped me again. It was clear it wasn't a joke anymore.

"You would think you'd have a response, but I, as a woman, had never been hit like that. I'm an adult and I'm sitting next to the man I love and he slapped me for no reason it seemed like. I missed the point. It was that stupid."

The Aquaman actress also recounted a harrowing alleged incident that involved Johnny Depp performing a cavity search on her while looking for cocaine - becoming visibly upset while telling the story.

Depp has denied all accusations of abuse against Heard and is suing his former partner for £38.2 million (US$50 million, AU$69 million), with Heard having issued a counterclaim for £76.4 million (US$100 million, AU$138 million).
