Jada Pinkett Smith has called on her husband Will to reconcile with Chris Rock following the infamous Oscars slap.

It’s the Red Table Talk episode we’ve all been waiting for as the Girls Trip star has finally addressed an incident that occurred earlier this year, pleading for Smith and Rock to make amends.

While looking straight down the barrel of the camera, Pinkett Smith said: “This is a really important Red Table Talk on alopecia. Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars.

“Now about Oscar night: My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile.”

The 50-year-old actor alluded to suggesting her husband and the comedian could meet during the filming of her show to discuss their confrontation.

Now, wouldn’t that be something? I bet those ratings would even top the Jordyn Woods episode, where the model detailed her affair with Khloe Kardashian’s NBA basketball player boyfriend, Tristan Thompson.

Pinkett Smith continued: “The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together.

“Thank you for listening.”

The actor has previously used her show as a platform to discuss her marriage and extramarital affairs.

In 2020, Pinkett Smith spoke of her tryst with rapper and friend of her son, Jaden, August Alsina.

While joining the therapeutic round table, the Men in Black actor shared that upon discovering his wife's relationship with Alsina, he was ‘done’.

Pinkett Smith responded: “I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.… It was a relationship, absolutely. I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken. In the process of that relationship, I definitely realised that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself.

“And luckily enough, you and I were also going through a process of healing in a much different matter. I would definitely say we did everything that we could to get away from each other, only to realise that that wasn’t possible.”

However, whether Smith and Rock will break bread together, we very much doubt it will happen on-camera.

In April, while on his Ego Death stand up tour, the 57-year-old comedian received a five-minute standing ovation following the slap but remained very tip-lipped about the situation, according to Daily Mail.

He said: "I'm still processing what happened, so at some point I'll talk about that s***. It'll be serious. It'll be funny.

"But right now I'm going to tell some jokes."
