Kit Harington 'Set To Return' As Jon Snow For New Game Of Thrones Series With HBO

Kit Harrington is reportedly returning to the role that made him a household name.

The Hollywood Reporter claims the British actor will reprise his role as Jon Snow for a new Game of Thrones series at HBO.

It's the first TV series based within George R.R. Martin's incredible universe that will be set in a time after the smash-hit series ended.

There have been a few prequel series announced, but none that will let us know what happened after the absolute s**tstorm of events that occurred in Season 8.

Jon Snow learned he was actually named Aegon Targaryen and had an official claim to the Iron Throne.

But he had to kill his beloved Daenerys when she became power-hungry and essentially wanted to kill everyone in Westeros.

At the end of Game of Thrones, Jon decided to leave his normal life behind and travel north beyond The Wall to hang out the wildling friends he made earlier in the show.

The Hollywood Reporter says if the show does eventually get made, then Kit might not be the only actor who could return.

Technically, we could be seeing other cast members who managed to survive the outrageousness that was Season 8.

They include the likes of Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).
