Margot Robbie Set To Star In An Ocean’s 11 Prequel Movie

Margot Robbie Set To Star In An Ocean’s 11 Prequel Movie

From Neighbours to Ocean's Eleven, Robbie has repeatedly proven she has the star power needed for Hollywood.

Australia's golden girl Margot Robbie is set to star in the next Ocean's Eleven flick.

But this time, we're going back to where it all began. Yes, that's right folks. We're getting a prequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie is set to star and produce in the new Ocean's Eleven film. You go girl.

At the helm of the Ocean's prequel will be Jay Roach, who directed Robbie to a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for Bombshell, a film that captured the wonderful fall of Fox News founder Roger Ailes.

Details on the script are so far being kept hush-hush, but we know so far is that screenwriter Carrie Solomon is coming on board.

She can do no wrong.

We also know that it is an original - not a remake - and will be set in Europe in the 1960s.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is still in active development and is not yet green-lit.

Production is aiming to begin in 2023.

No title is yet confirmed, but Ocean's 11, 12, and 13 are clearly out.

As is Ocean’s Eight, which was claimed by the 2018 female-led reboot starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway. So who knows what numeral Robbie's mission may attract?

Either way, Robbie is no stranger to stealing. Stealing scenes that is. With a career starting at Neighbours, she has multiple blockbusters under her belt already.

She stole the show in 2013's Wolf of Wall Street alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. She wowed multiple times as the totally bonkers Harley Quinn in two Suicide Squad films and then in her own Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey.

She's paired up with Tarantino, appearing alongside DiCaprio once more for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Oh, and she blew our socks off when she portrayed a competitive ice skater Tonya Harding in I, Tonya.

So, all the way from Neighbours to Ocean's Eleven, Robbie has repeatedly proven she has the star power needed for Hollywood.

Oh, and make sure to keep your eye out for her in another role in 2023.

Robbie will take on the plastic fantastic doll we all know and love, Barbie. She'll star alongside Ryan Gosling who will - of course - play Ken.

So it's onwards and upwards from here.
