New South Park Movie Absolutely Rips Into Celebrities Who Tried To Promote Cryptocurrency

This latest made-for-TV movie dumps on the A-listers who pushed crypto... and it is absolutely golden.

The lads behind South Park have done it again with their new made-for-TV film.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker have perfectly taken real-world events and satirised them to the high heavens.

In South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2, Stone and Parker have taken on celebrities who spruiked cryptocurrency during its boom.

The film dropped on Paramount+ this week and sees Matt Damon, LeBron James, Larry David, Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow absolutely skewered for peddling crypto to the masses.

Matt Damon cops the worst of it as he was the first to push digital currency in an infamous video that included that cringeworthy line 'fortune favours the brave'.

So how do they get ruthlessly mocked? Well, in the typical South Park way, it's savage and gross.

So, in Streaming Wars Part 1, the entire town of South Park finds itself stricken by drought thanks to global warming and the dastardly plans of local water park owner Pi Pi.

Pi Pi's evil plan is to replace the entirety of Denver’s water supply with his park’s urine-contaminated water.

Pi Pi reckons he'll make a fortune, and you can bet your bottom dollar that this is going in the exact direction you think it is.

It ends up in 'streaming wars' for water rights, which is an obvious dig at the massive number of TV streaming services now available and the entertainment turmoil it has resulted in for creators and users.

Anyway, back to our 'number one' business here: the story.

Matt Damon appears in an ad in the South Park movie to sell the benefits of pee water. It's wild, disgusting, and yet you can't quite pull your eyeballs away.

During the episode, Gwyneth Paltrow is seen drinking a teacup full of pee to peddle the latest fad, and Reese Witherspoon goes bobbing for apples in a barrel of that same, yellow fluid.

Larry David, who starred in a sort-of confusing crypto ad during the Super Bowl, does not miss his chance to be reamed by Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

The Seinfeld creator gets a very special shower in the episode... of the golden variety.

Of course South Park isn't South Park without one final, mega-dig.

It ends with all the aforementioned celebs sitting in a wave pool filled with urine.

They say together in unison: "We all love being in pee. Are ur-ine?"

God, we do love a pun.

By the end of it, all of the celebrities are crying, and so are we admittedly.

Tears of laughter, though.
