Prime Video Drops New Trailer For The Boys Season 3 And It's A Bloody, Chaotic Mess

Prime Video Drops New Trailer For The Boys Season 3 And It's A Bloody, Chaotic Mess

In the new trailer we see Hughie working for Victoria Neuman, a new drug that makes you a sup for a day and the addition of a new hero.

The Boys lovers, get ready because Prime Video has just dropped the new trailer for the upcoming season, and we are drooling over this sneak peek. Check it out:

After the epic conclusion of season two, where we saw (spoiler alert) Stormfront epically blasted by Homelander’s son, the fate of the Seven was mainly left ambiguous.

But in the new trailer for the upcoming season, we see the notorious Homelander putting out media fires left, right, and centre following the death of his Nazi girlfriend.

While appearing in multiple red carpet interviews, Homelander assures reporters: “I’m just a man who fell for the wrong woman.

“But out of crisis comes change. So, I’ve spent the last year really slowing down and reconnecting with myself.”

He then terrifyingly breaks the fourth wall before saying: “And I am very excited for everyone to meet the real me.”

Why does the ‘real me’ sound so ominous?? Couldn’t Homelander just rebrand with a new haircut or simply dropping a single with Harry Styles?

We have a feeling utter chaos is about to ensue.

And with that, we have Annie of the Seven aka Starlight, who says in a voiceover: “There is something wrong with Homelander.”

There’s also a glimpse of Hughie working for Congresswoman Victoria Neuman, a new drug that makes you a sup for a day and the addition of Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles playing the role of Soldier Boy.

The Boys/Prime Video

Yes, there’s a lot to unpack here.

Showrunner Eric Kripke also teased to Deadline last year that season three will see a shift as the series begins to draw on the recent dark history of United States politics as inspiration.

He said: "I’d say in previous seasons, the boogeyman for you to be scared of used to be, ‘The terrorists are coming to get you.’ And now it’s sort of metastasized into, I think, a much more ominous, ‘Your neighbour is coming to get you.’

“And that’s scary to me, how politics are turning us on each other. So, we want to explore what it means to be in America, really.”

He also shared: “We got really interested in the myths we tell ourselves, to feel that we’re righteous, really exploring America itself as a myth.”

Oooo this sounds juicy.

The Boys season three is set to be released June 3 on Prime Video.
