Logan Paul explains why he no longer speaks to Dwayne Johnson

He thought they had an 'open line of communication' until the actor cut ties with him

Logan Paul has opened up about the 'saddest moment' of his life that saw him fall out with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson'.

The YouTuber, 27, made the revelation to podcaster True Geordie - real name Brian Davis - and explained that it happened after his now notorious decision to film a suicide victim in Japan's Aokigahara forest.

Paul said that after the 2017 incident, in which the world saw him stare at the dead man's body in disbelief before laughing, he 'rightfully' found himself 'down a hole'.

He then explained that as a result of the backlash, Johnson - who had filmed several videos with Paul earlier in 2017 - asked his publicist to get in touch with him to cut all ties with the YouTuber.

"[I was] extremely low mentally, and I got a call from my publicist who also repped and she's like, 'Hey, Dwayne's asked that you remove every picture and video that you've done with him and maybe in the future the relationship can be reconciled but for now he basically wants nothing to do with you,' which I also understood," he explained.

Paul was criticised around the world for filming a suicide victim for YouTube.

"I get it. You know, I made a grotesque error and he has had things happen in his life where like a lot of people that incident affected him in a personal way.

"So I understood it and that was the other part... you sleep in the bed you make, right?"

The YouTuber explained that this really hurt him because he thought that he had an 'open line of communication' with the WWE star turned actor.

Paul said: "But I just wish I'd gotten like a call or a text or something because I thought we had a healthy relationship, an open line of communication. And I was so sad that my hero wanted nothing to do with me. And I was sad because I understood it, I really f***ed up.

"I was so disappointed in myself, and so I vowed to get better, I vowed to change, time passed, I start doing well... I just wanted to be able to build a relationship with Dwayne."

Paul went on to reveal that this efforts to win back his friend eventually worked, and he did eventually receive a nice message from Johnson about one of his Instagram videos 'as if nothing ever happened.'

But he said he wasn't able to reply at the time as he is 'still stuck on what happened back then.'

LADbible has reached out to Johnson's representatives for a comment.
