WWE superstar and influencer Logan Paul has addressed the controversial chants heard at Monday's (19 January) WWE Raw event in Belfast.
The 30-year-old has become one of the biggest names in the WWE world in the past few years, while keeping up with making regular YouTube content.
Nowadays, he's known for being the face of Prime Hydration and Lunchly in addition to his sporting endeavours, a far cry from being the controversial content creator who lost in a boxing match to former rival, now business partner, KSI.
The social media personality will be glad to have mostly moved past his past controversies though, with a certain incident in Japan at the back-end of 2017 tarnishing his reputation.

But this week, he was given a stark reminder of his past actions.
In December 2017, Paul faced widespread backlash after filming in Japan's Aokigahara forest, where he found a dead body hanging from a tree, and subsequently filmed it.
The American influencer then uploaded the footage, before swiftly deleting it and posting an infamous apology video at the start of 2018.
And this week at a WWE event at The SSE Arena in the Northern Irish capital, Paul was reminded of his past mistakes as the crowd chanted 'banned from Japan' while he was in the ring.
Paul was fighting in a six-man tag when he heard the chants, egging the crowd on to keep going.
He then uploaded a vlog on Thursday, where he addressed the chants and gave his immediate reaction after his event.
Speaking on his channel, Paul admitted that he thought the audience was chanting 'Logan Paul, he's back from Japan', but he was told by a mate that they were actually saying, 'Logan Paul, he's banned from Japan'.

Visibly shocked, the wrestler then pointed out: "Bro, I’m not even banned from Japan, like, officially, in an official way."
"How did a room full of absolute morons concoct such a brilliant chant? I’m not banned from Japan," he said about the British crowd.
"What the f**k bro, I’m not. I’m actually not."
Paul previously admitted in a 2024 episode of his Impaulsive podcast that he was keen to go back to Japan, but he wanted to be 'invited back', instead of going on his own accord.
He admitted that the WWE was the most likely route, with the company hosting several live events in the nation while he's been contracted to them.
The most recent was an event in October 2025 at Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, though it has not staged Raw or a premium live event at that time.
