Ms Marvel fans were left gobsmacked after noticing a surprise X-Men Easter egg in the series finale.
Viewers tuned into the Disney+ series' final episode today that brought Kamala Khan’s standalone tale to an end. One scene has set fans into a frenzy of speculating what's next for Kamala played by Iman Vellani.
In the clip, Kamala is speaking to her best friend Bruno who is played by Matt Lintz. Bruno tells her that he went back and looked at her genetic makeup after learning about her superhuman abilities.
“Kamala, there’s something different in your genes. Like a mutation,” he said.

Die hard fans then noticed a familiar tune play out after Bruno's comments. It was the theme tune to the 1990s X-Men animated series which has sent Marvel twitter into a whirlwind.
One avid viewer tweeted: "HOLD ON WHAT ARE THEY ABOUT TO CONFIRM THAT SHE'S AN INHUMAN IS IT FINALLY HAPPENING"
Anther said: "This scene made the Ms Marvel finale one of the best i was literally like freaking out when i heard the x men music holy shit."
Bisha K. Ali, head writer, told Marvel.com when when she was able to add the word "mutated" into the script that it was the “best day" of her life. Ali added it "fit into the logic of the wider MCU" to give Kamala this backstory in order explain why she could harness the power of the bangle while others could not.
Vellani told the publication: “They sent me, and only me, the draft, and I immediately freaked out.”
The 19-year-old actress added she emailed Kevin Feige, Marvel Studio president, after she found out.
"I was like, are you doing this like for real? Are you sure? I'm so honored! I was like yelling at him through an email. I was freaking out.
This is the biggest deal in the world, and the fact that it's happening in our show is crazy.”
Feige previously said in 2019 that the mutants would become a part of the franchise without give any further details.
The finale's post credit scene also shows Captain Marvel played by Brie Larson suddenly appear in Kamala's room. Both Captain Marvel and Kamala will be in The Marvels due to hit screens next year.
