In the months before the Coldplay concert kiss-cam controversy, CEO Andy Byron had many kind words to say about his colleague.

Byron, who is married, and Kristin Cabot were identified online as the pair caught on camera at the Coldplay concert, in a moment that has since gone hugely viral with many memes and posts being made about the awkward scenes.

The colleagues were allegedly shown on a giant 'kiss-cam', enjoying the show in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Wednesday night.

A man was shown on camera with his arms wrapped around a woman from behind when they appeared on the jumbotron screen and caught the attention of Coldplay's Chris Martin.

Instead of turning for a kiss like others had when the camera landed on them, the pair both reacted in what appeared to be shock and embarrassment, with the woman covering her face in horror as they both scrambled to disappear from view of the camera.

A 'fake statement' originally purporting to be from Byron has since been shared online.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked: "Come on, you're OK!"

As they continued to frantically try to hide from view, the frontman alleged: "Oh, look at these two, either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

After the clip has been shared thousands of times online, internet sleuths have been digging up what they can about the colleagues.

It didn't take people long to figure out who they were and that they were colleagues at the same company.

A post written by Byron about Cabot has resurfaced, with some very kind words said about her skills and professionalism.

Cabot joined the team at Astronomer, a firm which has been described as a data orchestration platform in New York which 'empowers data teams to bring mission-critical analytics, Ai, and software to life'.

Cabot joined the firm back in November as their Chief People Officer, and Byron had some very kind words to say about her.

He said: “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory.

"She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer."

Cabot praised her conversations she had with Byron as having 'energized' her.

“There are plenty of companies out there where a leadership team doesn’t recognize the value that a strong people leader and people team can bring to a company. It’s not just about benefits or catered lunches.

"There’s so much more to it, and I was energized in my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that exist here.”

Social media users have criticised the pair for their reaction, saying if they had just stayed calm the moment wouldn't have gone viral.

"He was about to play it cool. She freaked out then what was he supposed to do,” wrote one.

“They made it a big deal and now everyone else has too," added another.

“Is it true that if he hadn't cracked, people wouldn't have known? I think it was inevitable once they were caught on camera.”

LADbible has contacted Astronomer for comment.
