MC Smally fans are thinking the same thing after finding out that the legendary track is now 20 years old.
Bluetoothing the latest bangers with your school mates was an unforgettable time, and at the heart of it all was the legendary 'That’s My Name'.
'MC Smally yeah dats ma name, guna go by the flow, gonna' play the game, gonna' roll the dice once or twice,' are the official lyrics from Genius, as if you needed a reminder.
But because MC Smally’s identity was mostly unknown, the song became something of an urban legend amongst the UK youth who were blasting it on their Sony Ericssons and BlackBerrys.

Reciting the lyrics was considered a playground badge of honour, as the number was especially popular in Bolton, Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.
People even started hearing it in holiday destinations, according to a blog by Ryan Ferguson.
Over time, however, one of the rumours going around was that MC Smally had died from a shooting or car crash.
This was obviously not the case as George Smalley, from Prestolee, near Bolton, eventually revealed himself as the rapper.

Over on his TikTok page (@mcsmallly), George recently reflected on the fact that his song 'turned 20 years old in 2025' and that he 'made history without a doubt'.
In the video, he's sat there bouncing to the track, writing in the text overlay: "Made this tune 20 years ago. Still not blown."
Over in the comments, people were having a hard time believing how that young lad has grown up.
"I am not believing this is MC smally absolute no way 😂😂😂😂," one person commented.

"Not me pulling this one out the bag at every sesh hahahaha,' another viewer added.
In a separate video, he said he was still baffled by the rumours, adding: "People can’t get there head around that I’m not dead... ignore the rumours! They are rumours! I’m still out here people."
