A group of body language experts have pointed out a key gesture Michael Jackson made from his famous interview.

British journalist Martin Bashir sat down with the star during documentary Living with Michael Jackson which aired on ITV in 2003.

In the interview, the 'Thriller' singer was asked about having plastic surgery, and sort of denied it: "No, I have had no surgery on my face at all.

"Everybody in Hollywood gets surgery. It wasn’t invented for Michael Jackson."

"Just the nose," he admitted, "It can help me breathe better so I can hit higher notes."

Members of The Behavior Panel over on YouTube have since analysed the interview and noted Jackson's bizarre hand gesture of 'two' when asked how many surgeries he had.

Expert Chase Hughes said: "So we see this hand gesture of 'two'. He's using the back of his hand and I spent some time today looking at videos - this is a strong deviation from his normal behaviour - he's a very open, calm communicator.

"And this is followed by a short eye flutter, an eye flutter is something we do that some body language people will call 'eye locking', but also another reason that humans do this is when our CPU is processing a bunch of information, our eyes will blink a lot.

"And they're asking him a baseline question here, which is pretty basic, and his eyes go to nine o'clock as we're seeing the video, his eyes move to nine o'clock."

To check if Jackson was lying, Hughes suggested: "If I'm the interviewer, that immediate eye movement, I'm going to remember that.

"And I'm going to check this in a few seconds to see if it goes back to this spot again when I'm asking him about the car he drives, where he lives, the street address, what his house looks like, that kind of thing."

Also in the interview, Jackson was asked why he sleeps with children in a bed who aren’t his.

He said: “Why can’t you share your bed? That’s the most loving thing to do, to share your bed with someone.

“You say, ‘You can have my bed if you want it. Sleep in it. I’ll sleep on the floor. It’s yours’.

“I always give the beds to the company.

“Everyone who knows me will know the truth which is that my children come first in my life and that I would never harm any child.”
