Paris Jackson has revealed the moment that she met her mother for the first time since she was a baby, admitting that she didn't even know her name until after Michael Jackson's death.
The American model and actress recently appeared on an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast where she admitted that she didn't meet her mother Debbie Rowe until she was 15.
Rowe shared two children with the King of Pop, but after they split in 2000, both Prince and Paris ended up in the full custody of Michael and it seems as if he wasn't all that keen on the children having their mother in their lives.
It wasn't until Jackson's death in 2009 that Paris first started asking questions about her mother, to the extent where she didn't even know her name.

Paris, Prince, and Jackson’s youngest son 'Blanket' were all being raised by their paternal grandmother Katherine Jackson and a few years after Paris first started asking questions, she came downstairs to find her mother, seeing her for the first time since she was still in nappies.
“I remember coming downstairs, and she was in the living room with my grandma,” Paris told host Alex Cooper. “I came in and I was just like, ‘Hey, mom.’ And she was like, ‘Hi.’ I sat down, we talked for a second, and then we went out for the day and just like hung out.”

Fortunately, apart from having the mother-daughter bond that you might expect, Paris felt that their star signs also ensured that they were always going to get along.
She added: “She’s a [Sagittarius], so she’s got the fire, and I’m an Aries, so I got the fire. We’re very similar."
It might well have been a momentous moment to essentially meet your mother for the first time, unless she could remember her particularly well from before the age of three, but it seems as if Paris kept her expectations low which benefitted their relationship in the long term.
She said: “If I walk into a relationship with expectations, [I’m] probably going to end up being maybe disappointed or frustrated or irritated or a resentment will be born or something, you know. And when I walk into something and I don’t have expectations, it creates this really cool space for something organic to just blossom.”

Their relationship has only grown stronger over the years, with Paris a 'rock' for her mother after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016.
Things haven't been all that easy for the 28-year-old either as she's also battled her way through drug addiction, and she now urges other people online not to fall into the same traps that she did when it comes to drugs, with her own use resulting in a hole in her nose.
You might think that Paris would have been set financially for life having one of the most famous fathers in the world, but reports also suggest that she never received any inheritance from him after his death, although the recent success of the biopic Michael might have given the family estate a welcome financial boost.
