The professional audio of one of Oasis’ hits during the reunion tour is leaving people stunned.
A summer of ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ kicked off in Cardiff on Friday (4 July), marking Liam and Noel Gallagher’s first performance together since the band split in 2009.
And of course, it seems the gigs have been packed with memorable moments so far, from the visuals on the screen and the ‘photo of the decade’ to a Diogo Jota tribute and an emotional brother.
But really, it’s all about the music and Oasis fans haven’t been disappointed with the bangers. Critics have said Liam’s at his best as many attendees have called it the best concert ever.
Well, if this live audio is anything to by, it seems like they have a point.
Oh, we are SO back (Samir Hussein/WireImage) Making the rounds on social media, an Oasis community group on Instagram ‘castnoshadowofficial’ shared a video of the full performance of ‘Slide Away’ from Friday, mixed with ‘Pro Audio’.
“Right then, you lot are in for something very special,” they wrote.
“This is the full version of ‘Slide Away’ from opening night in Cardiff – my 4K footage, perfectly synced with this morning’s BBC professional audio broadcast.”
And, lads, it’s f**king brilliant.
“Let me tell you… they sound absolutely colossal,” the page continued. “Liam’s voice. Noel’s playing. The atmosphere. All of it.
“This is Oasis at full pelt. Enjoy it, treasure it – this is unbelievable.”
Go on, have a listen:
One fan was quick to write: “Holy lord, it sounded good in the stadium, but this is next level.”
“This sounds phenomenal, gotta be up there with one of the best performances of this song,” a second said.
As a third echoed: “This might be my new favourite performance of ‘Slide Away’, of all time.”
“I didn’t notice how much Liam was actually holding those notes sounds biblical,” a fourth added.
Some fans reckon it's the best they've been in decades. (Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images) Now fans are demanding a ‘whole concert of professional audio’ as many agree they are simply the ‘best band in the world’.
With many agreeing on X: “That’s by far the best they’ve sounded since the 90s. F**king incredible. What a comeback.”
Well, strap in lads, it’s about to be a hot Oasis summer.
