Fans have spotted an incredible full circle moment between the last Oasis gig and their reunion.

Sixteen years since they last took the stage together, Liam and Noel Gallagher are finally back performing as a band. The reunion announcement pretty much shocked us all last year and then led to an absolute mission for fans trying to secure tickets to see them.

And the shows kicked off in Cardiff on Friday (4 July), leading to the ‘photo of the decade’, a touching tribute to Diogo Jota and several other viral moments.

One of those moments doing the round is when Noel appeared to get a bit emotional as he and his long-feuding brother held hands.

Some Oasis fans reckon it’s the first time they’ve seen him like this in the ’30 years’, but others disagree and one has pointed out a touching full circle moment.

An X user shared side by side snaps of the ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’ singer as they wrote: “Noel crying in 2009 because the end of Oasis was approaching. Noel crying in 2025 because Oasis returned.”

The band’s split came in 2009 when it was announced they wouldn’t be performing at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, following a whole number of incidents between the pair.

Unbeknownst to anyone, the last Oasis gig was on 22 August 2009 at V Festival in Weston Park.

It’s said they fought minutes before they were due to go on stage in Paris, with Noel later releasing a statement that read: “It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight.

"People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

So, as far as we know he hadn’t made that decision during what ended up being his last gig, but he had already said life ‘would be easier without Oasis’. And some fans reckon he looks rather teary in the first snap in the X post.

Although, some joked it was his ‘hayfever’ while another said: “He was deffo emotional not sure he was crying.”

“This is it, in a nutshell,” another emotional Oasis fan wrote.

And fans in the aftermath of the concert highlighted Noel’s apparent emotions as out of character for the ‘Whatever’ singer.

“Never during this 30 years I've ever seen Noel so emotional and I still can't stop thinking about this and feeling the same,” one said, as a second wrote: “Noel was crying on stage. I can’t do this, I’m sobbing.”

“Oasis is his baby. I bet it hit hard right before the walk-out. Such a great photo and moment,” a third echoed.

Well if he was crying, fair enough to the bloke.
