Oasis have refused to comment on rumours of a surprise UK gig as online speculation goes into overdrive.

This week, rumours are swirling that the Britpop legends will return to Knebworth House next summer for a massive 30th anniversary show following their 2025 reunion tour.

The Gallagher brothers famously performed at the iconic venue to 250,000 fans across two days back in 1996. So given we're approaching the 30-year anniversary, the timings would make sense, but where have the rumours come from?

According to online reports, an account claiming to be Knebworth House ‘uploaded and deleted’ a poster which depicted a shot of the Knebworth crowd from 1996 alongside the words: “This is history. August 2026.”

However, when LADbible reached out to confirm, Oasis representatives declined to comment.

A spokesperson for Knebworth House said: “As much as we would like to welcome Oasis back for a 30th Anniversary Knebworth concert in 2026 and would be delighted to discuss dates with their promoters, this report that says it comes from Knebworth House is fake news. Knebworth House’s X account did not make this post."

So it seems all hope isn't lost, and it certainly hasn't stopped fans taking to Reddit to discuss the rumours. One fan wrote, “I'd actually say that this will happen, makes sense, also an opportunity to sell tickets at a decent price too, probably four nights."

Another fan agree, adding: “That would be biblical. I just got the Knebworth 1996 record yesterday.”

A third said: “That’s plausible. A lot of money to be made. Could also have a new record by then.”

The news comes days after Liam Gallagher confirmed the band lineup for the UK and Ireland 2025 reunion tour with Joey Waronker (drums), Andy Bell (bass), Gem Archer (guitar), and Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs (guitar), set to take to the stage.
