Netflix's Blonde: Release Date, Cast, And Trailer

The trailer for the highly anticipated ‘Blonde’, has given us our first peak at the brand new Marilyn Monroe biopic. The actress, singer and model has become one of the most famous faces in modern times, so it isn't really surprising that we’re about to see a film made about Ms Monroe.

The movie’s 18+ rating has meant it’s been dubbed as Netflix’s first-ever adult-only original movie. So whatever you do, don’t expect the new biopic to be a glamorised, glossed over version of the super-star’s life.

Anyway, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming film ‘Blonde’...

When Is Blonde Coming Out On Netflix?

We really don’t have to wait long as Netflix has confirmed that ‘Blonde’ will be released on the 23 September 2022.

The movie was supposed to have come out earlier as production started back in August 2019, however filming wasn't finished until July 2021 after setbacks caused by the pandemic.

Who Is In The Cast Of Blonde?

Actress Ana de Armas will be the star of the show, playing Marilyn Monroe herself. The ‘James Bond, No Time to Die’ actress told EW ‘It was the most intense work I've ever done as an actress.’

Joining Ana de Armas we have Bobby Cannavale and Adrien Brody — who will play Monroe's second and third husbands. Meanwhile, ‘August: Osage County’ star Julianne Nicholson will play Monroe's mother.

Blonde Trailer:

The brand new trailer shows the Hollywood sweetheart go from crying to smiling as she looks in a mirror at her own superstar images, and then bursting into her iconic laugh, hinting at her unpredictable changing moods.

The clips we see in the new teaser do not paint the film in a cheerful light as the trailer opens with Marilyn Monroe sobbing in her backstage dressing room before emerging outside to be met with swarms of paparazzi snapping away.

Nonetheless, what is stunning, is Ana de Armas’ transformation into the Hollywood actress, as we see her in a short blonde wig, completely embodying the celebrity, from the way she moves to her facial expressions.
