Netflix has a Christmas horror movie which you shouldn't watch around the family

Horror fans can rejoice this Christmas as there is a festive Netflix horror film that will keep gore and thriller fans entertained whilst still ticking the Christmas box.

The only snag is that it's more for world cinema fans as it's a Polish film. In fact, there are only two Christmas horror films on Netflix - one is Polish and the other is Danish.

All My Friends Are Dead isn't quite set on December 25th, but it's still in the Christmas holidays so we can overlook this minor detail.

Netflix explains the plot: "A group of friends at a New Year’s Eve party go through a whirlwind of events that exposes secrets, breaks hearts — and leads to a shocking outcome."

Katarzyna Chojnacka plays Angelika in the 2020 film, who is a girlfriend with repressed feelings and of a very timid and shy nature.

She described the film in an interview with The Hollywood Tribune: "What is cool about All My Friends Are Dead is that it’s a mix between American Pie and Quentin Tarantino and in American Pie, there isn’t one leading character but there are a couple different stories, so everyone is sort of playing a lead role!"

The film has a 46 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, so it might not be one of the best for the horror genre, but if you need a bit of Christmas with your murder scenes then this could be the one for you.

However, due to the gore, blood and some raunchy scenes it's probably not ideal viewing with Grandma or even Mum and Dad sitting on the sofa with you.

If you're looking for a people pleaser then it might be better to stick on Love Actually, The Grinch or even The Holiday instead. Less blood and horror, but less awkward scenes with the family over Christmas.

Or better still, Netflix Netflix is soon going to be releasing Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which could be more of a family movie to sit down together and watch.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery sees Daniel Craig reprise his role of Detective Benoit Blanc as he takes on a whole new mystery.

It's not just Daniel Craig who is back though, he's joined by Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

A follow up to Knives Out, which scored highly with critics and viewers, the sequel will land on Netflix on 23 December... just in time for Christmas!
