Usually at this time it’s all jingle bells, baubles and presents appearing on our screens.
But Netflix viewers have had an overload of d**ks served to them by a new series.
Described as absolutely ‘bats**t’, it launched on the streaming site at the end of November and has had rather mixed reviews from critics and its audience.
From the creators of Cobra Kai, it’s an eight-part action series with a whole load of nudity.
Watch the trailer here:
Starring C. Thomas Howell, Shelley Hennig and Nick Zano, Obliterated is created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald.
Netflix’s synopsis for the show reads: “Obliterated is a high octane action-comedy that tells the story of an elite special forces team who thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas.
“After their celebratory party, filled with booze, drugs and sex, the team discovers that the bomb they deactivated was a fake.
“The now intoxicated team has to fight through their impairments, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb, and save the world.”
And alongside all that crazy is plenty of R-rated scenes as one viewer wrote on X: “The full frontal nudity in Obliterated on Netflix is WILD. I’ve never seen so many d**ks in a show.”
From drunken hook ups to recreating the iconic whipped-cream bikini scene from Varsity Blues, there’s a particularly memorable sex scene in episode seven.
While Ava (Hennig) and Chad (Zano) are getting it on, there’s an actual camel watching them.
Yeah, it’s a little unpredictable and wild.
One viewer wrote: “This is the best series I've seen in years! Action, comedy, nudity, and cursing at the same time! @jonhurwitz did a spectacular job with this one.
"Do yourself a favor and binge this series! You won't be disappointed.”
Also taken aback by the number of knobs appearing on screen, another wrote: “Obliterated on @netflix is bats**t crazy! 3 eps in & holy shit! so many weeners! it’s like weener-palooza!
“But equal opportunity nudity, which is refreshing. = oppornudity? Hilarious & insane & can’t wait to see what happens next.”
One also put: "Watching Obliterated on Netflix and I was not prepared for this much gratuitous male nudity. I'm only on episode 2 and have seen at least 4 d**ks."
While it has just a 47 percent score on the Tomatometer from critics, audiences rank it much higher with a score of 76 percent.
One critic says: "Despite a few fun moments, the series can not escape the feeling that it was conceived by adolescents amid a hormonal peak."
Right in the d**k.
