Netflix fans' 'must watch' tense movie which is making people anxious from start to finish

Viewers of the thriller can't stop raving about it

Netflix viewers have branded an intense, new thriller a 'must watch' after it landed on the streaming platform.

Released in 2023, this survival thriller has been so well received by fans that viewers were left 'screaming at the TV', as it made its way to the streaming platform's 'most watched' list.

The film has left audiences on the edge of their seats throughout.

The Spanish-language film takes place in a dystopian future, where civillians are forced to leave Spain after it has been taken over by a totalitarian government that is killing people to deal with a global crisis.

The crisis has caused most of the world to run short of necessities and supplies, leaving many in fear.

In the film, pregnant Mia (Anna Castillo) is separated from partner Nico (Tamar Novas) after they flee the country following the tyrannical takeover.

As she desperately tries to escape, Mia stows away inside a large container on a cargo ship, though a massive storm knocks the container into the ocean, with her still in it.

While in the container, Mia gives birth and has to fight to survive and protect her newborn, providing a tense storyline to this gripping film.

It is called Nowhere, and you can view the trailer here:

Filming for Nowhere was so intense that actor Castillo was actually left with an infection from all the screaming.

The 30-year-old later explained: "There was smoke and with that and the screams my throat became irritated. I got tonsillitis, I got a fever and we had to readjust the filming so that I could be on antibiotics at home."

The reaction from viewers seems to be overwhelmingly positive, in spite of its lacklustre performance on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb.

With a mid-range Tomatometer score of 64 percent on the former, it holds a similar score of 6.4/10 on the latter site.

Anna Castillo stars as Mia in the film.

Another put: "Seen it ages ago but it’s a very emotional and moving watch would actually watch this again!"

A third said: "I was crying the whole night after watching this".

Another group member commented: "Was very intense at times considering most of it is on a container! Lol. I'm glad I watched it."

Nowhere is available to stream on Netflix now.
