Lucy Spraggan reveals torn vulva recovery plan ahead of reconstruction surgery

She tore her vulva on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Win

Lucy Spraggan, who tore her vulva while filming Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Win, has spoken out about the recovery plan for the shocking injury.

Earlier this week, Spraggan, best known as a singer and X-Factor contestant, spoke about her horrific injury - arguably the worst in the history of the series.

This, understandably, went viral after the singer spoke about her experience on the TV show and the numerous injuries she got from it.

One moment when she jumped from a speedboat to a helicopter and missed, saw her faceplant into the water, leading her to receive a black eye and permanently displace the filler in her face.

In an exclusive interview with LADbible, however, she spoke about the exact moment she knew she had torn her vulva in an upcoming episode of the series.

She stated it took place midway through a bungee jumping task in which the harness wasn’t quite in the right position. She said she felt a ‘yank’ and that it was a ‘f**king sincere’ amount of pain.

In the initial interview with The Sun, which went viral, Spraggan stated that she was planning to get surgery to repair her vulva.

And speaking exclusively to LADbible, Spraggan expanded on this, saying: “Yeah, [she has just been] letting it recover. It's just like a discomfort thing, rather than it being like anything too traumatic.

“Like I say, there's worse things happen in the world.”

She thankfully can see the light side of things, however, joking: “Cosmedicare [are carrying out the surgery]. They did my tits, actually.

“When I lost like 22 kilos, and I ruined my boobs those guys reconstructed my boobs, and now they're going to reconstruct my labia, which is really funny.”

She went on to joke that she was ‘trusting them with her life’. Though she was able to see the funny side of the injury, Lucy did point out the peculiarities of her going viral for it.

She pointed to the fact that Troy Deeney and Conor Benn both commented during the challenge about hurting their balls, saying: “Men can say, 'Oh, I've hurt my balls', and that's just an everyday part of life.

"But if a woman is like, oh my god, I f*cking ripped my labia, everyone's like: ‘Oh my God, this woman's talking about her vagina’.

“I just think it's like, I would love for you to include this, I just think that it's kind of crazy that men are always like, ‘Oh, my balls, my balls, my balls’.

"The second that a woman is like, I've got a vulva [it’s a big news story].”
