Netflix fans hail new '10/10' thriller that's leaving viewers 'stressed'
| Last updated
Viewers on Netflix are raving about a new show, with some claiming that they’ve binge-watched the whole lot in a single day.
Here's the trailer to give you a taste:
Despite it being in Spanish, which shouldn’t be that big a deal as long as you’re OK with subtitles, fans have been gripped by the show, which has now captured worldwide attention.
Directed by Carlos Villegas Rosales and written by José Vicente Spataro, the telenovela tells the tale of Brenda Rey, portrayed by Camila Valero, who is a social media influencer left on her own in the world by her mother, who abandoned her as a baby.
Rey grew up homeless and was sexually abused, but eventually turned things around and made a name for herself.
However, she wants revenge on the people who left her at birth, and – by the sounds of things – nothing is going to stop her getting that revenge.
The synopsis states: “When she was an infant, four private-school kids left Brenda Ray in the middle of the woods, in a shack.
“Brenda grew up homeless and was sexually abused, but through it all, she was determined to crawl her way out of poverty and make a name for herself.
“Now she’s a powerful social media influencer with connections and resources people only dream of.
“But instead of luxuriating in her riches and success, Brenda wants revenge on the women who conspired to hide her birth.
“With the help of her manager, Alex, she’s determined to find every single one of them, including the headmistress who enabled it all.”
The events of the show take place in various parts of Mexico, and fans are raving about it so far.
“I don’t even watch Netflix but I stumbled across this GOOD a*s series that I can’t get enough of… Pact of Silence” is SO GOOD…” one person wrote.
Another person said: “This show called the Pact of Silence is so good on Netflix 10/10!”

A fourth commented: “Pact of Silence 10/10 on Netflix!”
Someone else said: "Pact of silence on Netflix stressed me but it was good."
