Horror movie fans will be ecstatic to hear that the highest rated horror movie of 2023 has just become even easier for them to watch.

Made in Australia, the spooky flick has garnered rave reviews from critics and audiences who've said it has a 'final shot for the ages'.

If this is your first introduction to Talk To Me, it follows a group of friends who come across an embalmed hand which allows them to conjure spirits.

Obviously everything goes wrong from this point as the group gets carried away with a power they don't understand, and they end up unleashing a horrific slew of supernatural forces.

Film reviewers said the flick paid tribute to 80s horror movies, with Talk To Me's practical effects and 'social commentary about teenage behaviours' singled out for particular praise.

If you're a horror movie fan, then you'll be glad to know that Talk To Me is on Netflix.

The film is also the directorial debut for Danny and Michael Philippou, and some reckon it's the type of movie which will end up in a cult following developing.

The brothers started the hype train for the film by releasing a short clip onto YouTube to get an idea of how audiences would take it.

Speaking to Looper, they revealed how starting out on YouTube ended up being the platform for them getting an A24 horror movie, which you can now watch on Netflix.

"YouTube was a practice ground for us as filmmakers, and we used every video that we did to sharpen our skills and learn something new and try a stunt for the first time, or try a certain [visual] effect, or try a certain makeup effect," Danny explained.

"Each of those videos was building up to finally taking that leap and doing the feature film."

Film fans say the movie has a 'final shot for the ages', so now you've really got to see it.

Michael added: "Now, with story and stuff, we're excited to take a leap and have a go at the more narrative-driven stuff."

Since then, the movie has become a significant success and it's just arrived on Netflix in the UK, meaning you'll be able to watch it from the comfort of your own home.

As far as the critics go, Rotten Tomatoes says that 94 percent of them liked the film, while 82 percent of general audiences gave it the thumbs up.

With such a positive response, it's definitely one to check out when you're next in the mood for horror.

A sequel, provisionally titled Talk 2 Me, has also been confirmed by A24 with Danny and Michael Philippou returning to direct.
