Starring Florence Pugh as Cathy Ames, this seven-episode series is Zoe Kazan’s adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic novel. Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist also star in this story of the Trask family and Cathy over the decades between the American Civil War and World War One.
Crazy Rich Incredibly Broke – Netflix film
Saudi Arabian drama film.
Hanging up – Licensed film
Comedy film from 2000 directed by Diane Keaton starring Meg Ryan, Lisa Kudrow and Walter Matthau.
The Lego Movie – Licensed film
Animated film from 2014 starring the likes of Will Arnett, Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman and Jonah Hill.

Doing Life – Netflix film
Tyler Perry’s latest Netflix film follows the bond between a single mum and a reformed ex-con. Starring the likes of Naomi Baker and Jay Reeves it joins a number of other films from the director on Netflix.
Schumacher ’94 – The Birth of a Legend - Documentary
Homing in one of the greatest, Netflix’s latest doc looks at Michael Schumacher’s first Formula 1 world title-winning campaign. This will be one to watch for any F1 heads.

The very popular crime thriller series from Taylor Sheridan has been running since 2021 with a fifth and final season on its way. Starring Jeremy Renner, Mayor of Kingstown looks at America’s prison system and follows the McLusky family who act as power brokers.

Unforgettable – Licensed series
Having aired from 2011 to 2015, this American crime drama ran for four seasons and stars Poppy Montgomery. Detective Carrie Wells has a rare medical condition that gives her the ability to visually remember everything and that puts her in work in New York City’s Queen’s homicide unit.
Who is Martin Mull? – Documentary
As part of a string of comedy documentaries coming to Netflix UK in October 2026, this one looks at the life and career of Martin Mull. It features the likes of Steve Martin.

Wicked – Licensed film
Finally landing on streaming, the 2024 hit starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande is one of the many movies hitting Netflix this October 2026. The film adaptation of the popular stage show, this musical follows the unlikely friends who become the iconic witches. Of course, it also stars the likes of Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum and Peter Dinklage.
Malory Towers – Licensed series
Originally airing in 2020, the drama series is based on the book by Enid Blyton and stars Ella Bright as Darrell Rivers, a teen girl who gets sent to the boarding school in Cornwall.
The wholesome show came to an end in 2025 after seven seasons.

Free Leonard Peltier – Documentary
Part of the list of docs Netflix picked up from the festivals this year, this release tells the story of Peltier, a young leader of the American Indian Movement in the 70s. It looks at his controversial conviction and the decades-long efforts to secure his release from prison.

Back for another season, the popular political thriller stars Keri Russell as Kate Wyler. This will be one of the big releases of new Netflix series for October 2026, that’s for sure.
Hollywood Arts – New Netflix series
One for the nostalgic 20-somethings and the younger kids, Trina Vega is returning to the school for this Victorious spin-off. The original show of course featured the likes of Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice when it ran on Nickelodeon in the 2010s. And this new show sees Vega trying to steer a new class of gifted teens, with 26 episodes ordered.

Sacrifice – Netflix film
Directed by Romain Gavras, this mythical dark comedy stars the likes of Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charli XCX, Salma Hayek, John Malkovich and Yung Lean.

The Disciple: A Wu-Tang Fable – Documentary

Nobody Wants This (S3) – Returning Netflix series
Back for a third season, this is one of the big series landing on Netflix UK this month with Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. It picks up with Joanne and Noah moving in together and introduces newcomers Sarah Silverman and Andrew Rannells. Meanwhile, Sasha and Esther are looking at their new love lives after separating. All 10 episodes drop 22 October.

The popular thriller returns four years after the end of Lupin Part 3 with eight episodes. Assane Diop (Omar Sy) is still in prison and for him, Lupin is no more. He wants to serve out his sentence and go to meet his family in Senegal but of course, it’s never that simple.

The One About Matthew Perry - Documentary
One of the most-anticipated releases for Netflix UK this month, the three-part documentary series is the first in-depth about the actor. Directed by Mary Robertson, it features never-before-heard testimonies from Perry’s sister, Mia Perry Bowick, and his lifelong best friends. It also has unreleased photos and videos from the family’s private archive, tracing his journey from the rising comic star to the actor the whole world remembers.

Beat Luke Littler – Live event
Hosted by Gary Lineker, this high-stakes live darts event sees amateurs from the UK take on the chance to take down the No.1, The Nuke. Whoever (if anyone) actually manages to defeat Luke Littler will win a whopping £501,000.

SCTV: The Greatest Show You’ve Never Heard Of – Documentary
The last of October 2026’s new comedy docs coming to Netflix, this looks at the iconic Canadian sketch comedy series. It features behind-the-scenes footage from SCTV and the exclusive cast reunion that was filmed back in 2018. Second City Television ran in various formats from 1976 to 1984 and featured the likes of Catherine O’Hara, John Candy, Eugene Levy and Martin Short.
