Despite Stranger Things having run for five seasons and 38 episodes now, fans have realised that two of the main characters who’ve been in the entire show have ‘never interacted’.
Season five releasing yesterday saw Stranger Things shoot straight to the top of the Netflix charts.
The TV show is widely considered to be Netflix’s most popular franchise by far, with fans on social media emotional at the idea that there are only four episodes to go.

One of the core parts of the show, beyond the major fan theories and the upside down, is the relationship between the kids and the older members of the cast.
Whether it be Eleven and Hopper, Dustin and Steve, or in the new season Robin and Will, these are some of the core relationships in the show.
There is one core and surprising interaction to have never happened until now though.
The two characters are Steve and Will, who fans online have claimed have not shared an on-screen interaction so far. If you’re like me when you read that, your initial reaction is to rack your brain for interactions, because that simply can’t be true.

Steve (assuming he doesn’t follow some of the most popular fan theories and finally kick the bucket this season) will have been in all 42 episodes of the entire show, while Will has been a mainstay since season two.

One account pointed out the idea that they still hadn’t interacted whatsoever, which is only partially true.
They posted: “Steve Harrington and Will Byers have STILL not interacted with each other directly. It has been 5 seasons.”
Several fans however pointed out that in episode three, Steve questions Will’s new powers in a group scene, but the pair have still never interacted one-on-one in the show.

One replied saying: “Ik people are mentioning episode 3 but the fact that that’s their only interaction with each other is crazy.”
Another fan suggested that, considering there are various fan theories that Will becomes controlled by Vecna, the pair’s first one-on-one interaction might be Will killing Steve, but fans hope this isn’t the case.

One fan pointed out a potentially even crazier one, that Steve and Hopper had also yet to interact with each other.
A second replied saying: “That makes sense, their plots usually never intertwine and when they do they’re not communicating directly to each other.”

The idea however that two of the biggest parts of the show have never interacted with one another, regardless of their plots, is sure to be a shock to many fans.
Stranger Things season five, volume one is available to stream on Netflix now.
