After being left in the dark for three years, Top Boy fans have finally got an answer about who killed Sully.
Ashley Walters has now confirmed the identity of the mystery assassin who took out his co-star Kane Robinson, AKA Kano, in the finale of the beloved British series.
The actor, 44, has now shared some further details about why the show ended in such a controversial way, while revealing who fired the fatal shot.
Top Boy was a consistent crowd pleaser since the Summerhouse series began airing on Channel 4 back in 2011, and it's revival on Netflix was met with similar rave reviews.

But as viewers had become so emotionally invested in the characters by the time the fifth season debuted in 2023, a lot of them didn't appreciate Top Boy ending on such a huge cliffhanger.

By this point in time, the brotherly bond shared between Dushane (Walters) and Sully (Robinson) had evaporated, their drug empire was crumbling, and the Summerhouse estate was in chaos.
The pair shared some dramatic scenes on screen after Sully's stash of substances went AWOL, as Jaq (Jasmine Jobson) swiped 25 kilos in a bid to earn some money to start a new life with her nephew following the death of her sister Lauryn.
She ended up chickening out of her bold plan and offered to return the gear - before Dushane intercepted the delivery, prompting his former right hand man to chase him down before shooting him dead.
Fans will remember that Sully had acquired quite a few enemies by this point, such as Stefan (Araloyin Oshunremi), who was seeking vengeance for the murder of his older brother Jamie.
After he was ambushed by the teenager in a park in the finale, Sully then strolled back to his car and took a seat - and as he went to turn the ignition, a mystery assailant walked past and fired a single deadly shot.

The kingpin then collapses onto the steering wheel while the car horn blares, before the credits then started rolling - bringing Top Boy to an end after an incredible 12 year run.
But longtime viewers weren't too pleased that the killer was never unmasked, so ever since, Walters has been badgered with questions about who murdered Sully.
He previously told how he and Robinson had fought to make the fifth and final season the 'best' they could for fans, as they didn't have as much 'creative input' this time around.
During an appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast in 2023, the Adolescence actor said: "Filming the last season bought me and Kane probably even closer than we've ever been doing that show because we didn't have the greatest time. Fighting for what we believed in and making it the best show that we could make it be, the best last season for the fans.

"People don't understand, like we go hard for that show, we go hard to make sure that the scripts are right, we go hard to make sure other characters are being represented in the way they should be and storylines make sense," he explained. "It was tough, we went through a tough experience that we haven't been through before and that brought us closer together."
Walters again discussed his and Robinson's close relationship - both on and off screen - during a recent sit down with Tim Campbell on the reWORKING podcast.
The duo were discussing the plot line of the fifth season and Dushane's spectacular downfall, which left him desperate to flee the country...and Walters ended up disclosing the identity of Sully's killer, completely unprompted.
When asked whether Kano's character would have given Dushane the money he needed to make a getaway, Walters responded: "Yeah, he would have. 100%, he would have. And Jaq is the answer to the other question you keep on asking."
Walters explains why they kept identity of Sully's killer a secret
Campbell then queried what exactly he was referring to, before Walters went on to confirm he was referring to the identity of Sully's killer.
"Bro, that is the biggest question," he continued, while explaining why they opted to end Top Boy with a whodunit.
"It was me and Kane that made the ending that way, because they had the whole killing and we went in the edit and we was like, ‘Nah, don’t tell people who did it, cut it out, who did it'.
"It’s because we want the show to live on, because we’re never going to do it again. So, we want the show to live on, and that is the most hated question now, bro. Who killed Sully?"
The father-of-eight said that fans still approach him and demand an answer, as he added: "I’m like, 'Bro, come on, come on, please'. It’s the most asked question now. But yeah, Jaq."
So there you have it lads - it was Jaq all along.
