Nick Carter breaks down during tribute to late brother Aaron at London concert

There wasn't a dry eye at London's O2 Arena as the Backstreet Boys paid their respects to the 34-year-old.

Nick Carter has been overwhelmed with emotion during the Backstreet Boys' performance in London.

The older brother of the late Aaron Carter, who was pronounced dead over the weekend, continued with his singing commitments with the legendary boy band.

They performed their latest and greatest hits at London's O2 Arena as part of their DNA Tour and fans went wild with the musical nostalgia.

However, the Backstreet Boys paused for a moment to acknowledge the profound loss of Aaron Carter.

Just after they performed 'No Place', Kevin Richardson told the crowd: "Tonight we got a little bit of heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday.

"We just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognise him. Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter, passed away yesterday.

"He was a part of our family and we thank you guys for all the love and all your well wishes and all your support."

Howie Dorough added: "We’d like to dedicate this next song to our little brother Aaron Carter. You'll definitely be missed brother. May you rest in peace."

Photos of Aaron were splashed onto the big screen and Nick broke down in tears at the touching tribute.

The Backstreet Boys then launched into their song 'Breathe'.

Many praised Nick for carrying on with the show despite the heartbreaking news he was only just coming to terms with.

One person wrote: "Very sorry for your loss Nick. You still performed tonight at O2 in London which would have been so hard to do..thank you and respect you for it. Condolences to you and your family."

Another added: "Respect to you for performing at the O2 tonight. That was emotional to watch."

A third said: "What a fab show tonight @ the o2. The moment for Aaron was beautiful. Thank you for letting us Brits share the emotion with you during such a hard time."

Many said on social media that there wasn't a dry eye in the O2 Arena during the boy band's tribute to Aaron.

Nick Carter issued a statement shortly before the performance kicked off along with a series of photos of him and his late brother.

"My heart is broken," he said.

"Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.

"I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed."

Aaron Carter was found dead inside his California home on November 5. His cause of death is still being determined.

The 34-year-old's family said authorities are investigating the circumstances of his tragic passing.
