Owen Wilson had his lifetime concert pass taken off him after just one day

Owen Wilson had his lifetime concert pass taken off him after just one day

He had the life-time pass revoked after just 24-hours for a 'bozo' move

Owen Wilson has revealed how he managed to get his ‘lifetime pass’ to watch the Rolling Stones in concert revoked after just 24-hours. Unlucky.

The 54-year-old star appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden where he confessed to being a huge fan of the legendary rock band ever since he saw them on tour back in the 1980s.

So, I’m sure you can imagine his excitement when he managed to wangle some access all area passes that he could keep a hold of forever.

Explaining how that came about, he said: “I was kind of friendly with some of the band and then my friend was really good friends with Mick Jagger.

“We got these special laminates, kind of all access, that were good for the rest of your life.”

As you can imagine, a ‘really exciting’ addition to Wilson’s life but the joy turned out to be short lived.

Wilson was given the special pass while attending a Rolling Stone gig in Argentina, meaning he could stroll about to his heart’s content - or so he thought.

“That night, at the concert, I'm kind of wandering around and testing it out, like, 'I'm going to walk over here and see if anybody stops me.' And no one would stop me any place,” he said.

“I ended up right at this place where I could look over and see Mick Jagger on the stage, and right there and then, all of a sudden, he bolts during Jumpin' Jack Flash and comes running down.”

With the frontman running at him, Wilson was completely caught off-guard and froze on the spot.

"It turns out, where I was, was kind of part of the stage a little bit, so I just sort of froze and tried to be inconspicuous, and he kinda came down and left," Wilson explained.

“And then someone came running over, [shouting], ‘Get out of here! Move! You're not supposed to be here!’ And I [said], ‘I didn't know! I'm so sorry!’

"I go to bed that night still thinking, ‘Well, gosh, that was kind of a gnarly experience’.

"Then I get a call the next morning from Mick's security team asking, ‘Do you have that laminate?' 'Yes, I still have it.’ ‘Okay, we're going to come over and pick it up."' Ouch.

Although most likely still dealing with the crushing disappointment, Wilson went on to say that he understood the decision.

“So I get it, you know? He's got a show to do. He doesn't need some kind of bozo just cruising around distracting him,” he added.
