Actor Robert Pattinson is a pretty good looking guy, but now it's been proven that he is still classed as the most attractive man in the world. Science has spoken.

After stealing hearts in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory, he captured the world's attention as the broody vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise and most recently he's been back on screens in The Batman.

While his acting and his love life have often been the subject of headlines, his chiselled good looks have remained undisputed. The actor was originally given the title of being the most attractive man in the world in 2020 and he has failed to be knocked off the top spot ever since.

The title comes after an algorithm that ranks different facial features has analysed the men of Hollywood including Ryan Gosling, Idris Elba, Brad Pitt and Henry Cavill. Yet none of them could match Pattinson's perfect visage.

Pattinson has most recently starred in The Batman.

Pattinson scored an impressive 92.15 percent, beating the likes of The Witcher star Henry Cavill (91.64 percent), A Star Is Born's Bradley Cooper (91.08 percent), Brad Pitt (90.51 percent) and George Clooney (89.91 percent).

The analysis comes down to the 'Golden Ratio' of Beauty Phi, which originates from the European Renaissance and was reportedly used by Leonardo Da Vinci for his famous work, the Vitruvian Man.

To calculate the true beauty of a face, the length and the width are measured and then the results are divided. Measurements are taken from the hairline to the spot between the eyes, and then between the eyes and the bottom of the nose. Finally the person’s face is measured from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin.

Once all the calculations are complete, a person is considered to be more 'scientifically beautiful' if the numbers are equal.

Commenting on the algorithm, Centre of Facial Cosmetic Surgery's Dr Julian De Silva said: "Robert Pattinson was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection.

"These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients’ surgery."

The Twilight actor beat Henry Cavill, Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper to the top spot.

He explained that the Twilight actor was 'in the top five for nearly all the categories because he has such classically shaped features and a wonderful chiselled jaw'.

In fact, the only thing letting Pattinson down was his mouth, as De Silva explained: "His only score below average was for his lips which are a little thin and flat."
