Project Hail Mary is landing in cinemas on March 19, and this is one sci-fi space epic that’s built for the biggest screen you can find. Starring Ryan Gosling, the film is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about movies of the year, blending space survival, world-saving stakes and emotional storytelling into one massive ride. Want to catch it early? We’ve got you.

We’re giving away double passes to exclusive pre-release screenings of Project Hail Mary on Thursday, March 12 across Sydney, Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Perth, and Adelaide — giving you the chance to see it before it officially hits cinemas.

To enter, simply tell us in 25 words or less, if you were stuck alone in space, what’s the one item you’d refuse to leave Earth without — and why?

Best answers win, so make it good.

The film follows Ryland Grace (Gosling), a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship, light years from Earth, with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As his memories return, he realises he’s been sent on a last-ditch mission to stop a mysterious phenomenon that’s causing the sun to die — and with it, life on Earth.

Armed with his intelligence, unorthodox thinking and sheer determination, Ryland must attempt the impossible. And just when it seems like he’s truly alone, an unexpected friendship changes everything — turning a survival story into something far more emotional and surprising.

Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the Academy Award®-winning creators behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the film is based on the global best-selling novel by The Martian author Andy Weir. The cast also includes Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung and Milana Vayntrub, with Gosling also serving as a producer.

So, if you’re in the mood for a smart, moving, edge-of-your-seat space adventure, now’s your moment. Enter for your chance to see Project Hail Mary early — or catch it in cinemas everywhere from March 19.
