Ryan Reynolds trolls Nick Cannon as he announces he's expecting 11th child

The Deadpool star couldn't resist making a joke after hearing the news

Ryan Reynolds took a break from trolling Hugh Jackman to turn his attention to Nick Cannon after the television host announced he's expecting his 11th child.

Having only welcomed his eighth child earlier this year, Cannon has made some impressive progress in growing his family over the last few months with the arrival of his ninth and 10th children in September.

Maybe he's striving for his own version of Cheaper by the Dozen?

Confirmation that he was having his 11th child arrived this week, when model Alyssa Scott took to Instagram to share a series of photos from her and Cannon's maternity shoot.

The baby comes after the pair lost their five-month-old son, Zen, to brain cancer in December 2021.

Alongside one of the images, Scott wrote: "This is a MIRACLE & a BLESSING."

News of their bun in the oven was shared on Twitter by People, after which it caught the attention of Reynolds.

And unable to resist a quick quip, Reynolds responded: "We’re gonna need a bigger bottle."

The line is, of course, a play on the famous Jaws quote 'we're gonna need a bigger boat', but appears to make reference to Reynolds' alcohol brand, Aviation Gin.

Cannon has previously starred alongside Reynolds in an advert for the gin for Father's Day, when the pair joked about making a cocktail called 'The Vasectomy'.

In the advert, Cannon said: “Lord knows I need one.”

After making the drink, Reynolds told Canon he would 'take it from here', adding: "I have three kids."

In response, Cannon caused Reynolds to perform a spit-take as he stared straight-faced at the camera and said: “I have eight.”

Scott had confirmed she was pregnant with a post displaying her baby bump last month, though at the time she didn't reveal whether Cannon was the father.

The TV presenter shares his ninth and 10th children with model LaNisha Cole and model Brittany Bell, respectively. Bell already shares two children with Cannon; Golden Sagon, six, and Powerful Queen, one.

Cannon also shares one-year-old twins, Zion and Zillion, with Abby De La Rosa; a three-month-old son, Legendary Love, with model Bre Tiesi, and 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

Cannon isn't the only one growing his brood, as following the release of the Aviation Gin advert Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively took to social media to reveal the couple are pregnant again and are now expecting their fourth child.
