Simon Cowell has insisted he’s sworn off Botox because injectables made him ‘look like something out of a horror film’.
Unfortunately for James Wan’s mood board, Cowell, 62, has decided ‘enough is enough’ and will now rely on ‘drinking tonnes of water’ to keep his complexion in check.
The America’s Got Talent star admitted he had ‘gone a bit too far’ with his past tweakments and at one point barely even recognised himself in the mirror.

He told The Sun in a recent interview: “There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all.
“Eric [Simon’s son] was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
He added: “There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other.
“But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tonnes of water.”
It’s not the first time Cowell has poked fun at his plumped-up profile, even hailing his previous love of injectables as the ‘botox years’.
Admitting old Britain’s Got Talent clips left him aghast, Simon said in 2019: “I love watching 'the Botox years.’ All of us [the BGT judging panel] are like, '’christ, we had a lot that year. Not so much that year… maybe a bit too much that year'’.”
He added to The Mirror: “You know, the old clips of us are hysterical, Amanda’s [Holden] always like, '’What was I thinking?'’, I said, 'Well, I don't look a lot better.' I look all right now, but certain years it was like, 'Wow, I don't know what was going on’.”
The NHS website describes Botox as: “Injections [that] relax the muscles in your face to smooth out lines and wrinkles, such as crow's feet and frown lines.
“It's not permanent – it usually lasts for around 3 or 4 months. In the UK, the cost of Botox injections can vary from about £100 to £350 for each treatment, depending on the clinic and the area being treated.”
Cowell has also spoken candidly about his 2018 face lift in the past, saying the procedure (unsurprisingly) ‘hurt like hell’.
