Stephen Fry wants to call Piers Morgan a ‘c**t’ on his TV show to teach him a lesson on ‘free speech’

The British comedian took a swipe at the TalkTV host during an episode of entrepreneur Steven Bartlett's podcast, The Diary Of A CEO.

Stephen Fry has come out swinging against polarising television host Piers Morgan and revealed exactly what he would say if he ever appeared on his TalkTV chat show.

Morgan hosts Piers Morgan Uncensored, which airs on UK TV's TalkTV and Sky News Australia channels, vowed in his premiere episode that the show would be a 'no cancel zone' where 'real free speech' is constantly celebrated.

But it seems Fry is less than impressed by Morgan's take on television, with the British comedian taking a dig at Morgan in an episode of British entrepreneur Steven Bartlett's podcast, The Diary Of A CEO.

The former QI host rounded on Morgan during a chat about tech mogul Elon Musk's Twitter takeover and his free speech dream on the social media platform.

"I'm slightly worried I may have to leave it," Fry said to Bartlett.

He went on to add that he feels Twitter 'doesn't sound like a nice, happy place' with the Tesla boss at the helm.

Fry said he believes the social media site 'should reflect society as much as possible' and that he may only keep the platform for charity or work-related announcements instead of using it to interact with fans.

Fry then turned the conversation towards Morgan's own programme.

"Do you know what I've wanted to do... is go one of those, er, doesn't Piers Morgan do something? Is it GB News, that he does? Or one of those things?" he asked.

"I sort of wanted to go on there - now you'll have to hold your ears - I sort of wanted to go, 'How are you, you old c**t?It's f**king great to see you, you old c**ty, c**ty, c**t, c**t'," Fry said, detailing what he dreamed of saying to Morgan on live television.

"And he'd go 'you can't say that'," Fry said, before explaining his own imaginary return serve.

Fry said: "'Oh, I thought this was the home of free speech?'"

This brought the former QI host to his point: "So, free speech is negotiable. There are bits that you can't say and bits that you can.

"That's the point."

Piers Morgan addressed Fry's sledge on Twitter.

"Poor old Stephen Fry seems to be getting confused in his old age. I don’t work for GB News - but if he wants to come on my show and repeatedly call me a c**t then he can," Morgan wrote.

He added: "[It] would be quite funny, actually."

Morgan is employed by Rupert Murdoch's TalkTV channel, a separate channel to GB News, which is run by holding company All Perspectives Ltd.
