Does The Gray Man Have A Post Credit Scene?

As Netflix's most expensive movie The Gray Man is released, can fans expect the Russo brothers to signal a sequel with a post-credit scene?

Reviews are in on Netflix's The Gray Man to give fans a clue as to whether there is post-credit scene to signal a sequel?

Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo, known as the Russo brothers, took on Netflix's most expensive original movie ever with a budget estimated at around $200 million (£169.5 million). The pair are most known for their combined Marvel Cinematic Universe creations.

While post-credit scenes are a signature feature of all MCU movies used to advance the story and tease upcoming adventures, the brothers opted not to use on at the end of Avengers: Endgame, their last Marvel movie.

The Russo brothers have now swapped superheroes for spy craft in the heavily anticipate movie. The Gray Man will be in theatres for a short period from tomorrow before hitting Netflix on July 22.

The adapted screenplay has big names including Ryan Gosling, Christ Evans, Ana De Armas and Bridgerton's Regé-Jean Page.

Gosling plays a CIA assassin recruited a top-secret black ops unit and joins a team of “gray men”. The agent accidentally uncovers dark agency secrets and becomes a primary target. The Gosling's character is hunted across the world by international assassins and by Lloyd Hansen, a former colleague and psychopath played by Evans.

The action packed film premiered yesterday and has today received a mix of reviews. Aside from everyone obsessing over Evan's performance, one thing most can agree on is that the movie is action packed and fun to watch.

It would be logical to foresee this film as the first of many Gray Man adventures, but the Hollywood Reporter's review seems to suggest the movie does not set that expectation. "Letting this be a standalone adventure may be artistically wise. And with all the belt-tightening and revenue-seeking going on at Netflix, saying no to a crazy-expensive sequel might not even offend the artists involved."

So, it seems fans can assume the Russo brother's have yet again opted not to treat viewers to a teasing post-credit scene.
