Viewers baffled after watching woman pop her ‘ink sack’

TikTok users have been left baffled after watching a woman cut into her 'ink sack' after getting a new tattoo.

A TikTok user has baffled viewers with a video showing her popping her 'ink sack' after getting a new tattoo.

The TikTok user, who goes by the username @jodiivictoriia, shared a clip of her cutting open the protective layer of 'second skin' over her new inking on her forearm.

An ink sack filled with black ink could be seen before she cut into it with scissors and a dark, slime-like substance came out.

The modern tattoo healing method creates a breathable shield over your new inking, which holds in the body's natural healing processes and prevents the tattoo from drying out.

It is applied after the tattoo is finished and can be kept on for various amounts of time, dependent on the brand.

The healing method has proven to be hugely popular over recent years as it allows people to go about their daily activities easily after getting a fresh tattoo, instead of traditional methods.

Many TikTok users were shocked to see the 'ink sack' opened as many questioned what was happening in the clip.

"This looks so wrong," one person said, while a second wrote: "Worst part of getting tats it's so gross."

A third social media user added: "WHY IS IT SLIMEY," and a fourth penned: "I GAGGED".

She demonstrated how to pop the ink sack.

The 'second skin' fills with blood, ink and plasma within the first 24 hours after getting a fresh tattoo.

When combined together, this creates a black 'goo' which will wash away once you've eventually taken the second skin off and cleaned your new inking.
