We all know that one of the best things about the festive period is that you can curl up in front of the TV and watch movies all day without feeling a single pang of guilt - it's not laziness, its tradition.

But now you can get paid for your troubles, as Reviews.org is on the prowl for a Chief Holiday Cheermeister, whose only job will be to watch 25 festive films of your choice in 25 days, filling out a short survey afterwards.

In return, you'll not only get paid $2,500 (£1,875), you'll also get a year's worth of streaming over on seven different streaming services.
You have to be aged 18 or older to apply, and be eligible to work in the US - although if you're based elsewhere, who's to say you can't take on the challenge without getting compensated for it? Getting paid solely in Christmas cheer is hardly a bad backup, let's face it.
An online ad says: "Does the sound of jingle bells warm your heart? Have you always wanted a ticket to the Polar Express? Did you start celebrating Christmas on November 1 (or, let's be real, probably before that)? If you're the type of person who watches holiday movies year-round, we want to hire you!"

It continues to say that as the company's Chief Holiday Cheermeister, you'll be paid a not-too-shabby $2,500. You'll also receive gift cards to cover one year of subscription to Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Apple TV+ and Hallmark Movies Now.
You can pick the 25 movies you'll watching, with Reviews.org saying: "We might even let you count Die Hard."
However, if you're in need of a little inspiration, the team have compiled a list of recommendations online, which includes the likes of Klaus, The Polar Express, Arthur Christmas, The Grinch, Jingle All the Way, Deck the Halls, Four Christmases and The Muppet Christmas Carol.

If you want to mix it up with some New Year's Eve-themed flicks, you could also opt for titles like New Year's Eve, When Harry Met Sally, Bridget Jones's Diary, Sleepless in Seattle, Holiday Inn, An Affair to remember and About Time.
