Dog the Bounty Hunter is engaged to his new girlfriend Francie Frane just 11 months after losing his wife Beth to cancer.

The 67-year-old reality TV star has proposed to his girlfriend after a candlelit dinner at their house in Colorado, and the pair are now planning their nuptials.

It's less than a year since his beloved wife Beth lost her battle against cancer.

The pair have been together for a few months now.

Frane revealed that The Dog - who is actually called Duane Chapman - popped the question to her during dinner.

In an Instagram post in which she also shared a picture of her ring, she wrote: "So excited for this new chapter!"

"Thank You All So Much for all the encouraging comments, Dog & I appreciate it so much.

"We know God brought us together and have no doubts about that AT ALL !! Either [we're guessing this means neither] one of us can replace what we had with [her late husband] Bob & Beth and we don't want to...

"What we do know is that God has brought two people who have walked a treacherous road together and shown us LOVE is possible again.

"And as Wonderful, Loving and Kind as You all think Dog is, HE IS & MORE !! I LOVE YOU DUANE LEE."

Beth died in June 2019.

Francie then later opened up to the Sun about Chapman's proposal. She told them: "I think I had gone to pick up some food and then when I came back he had all the lights turned down with just a few lights on and a bunch of candles lit...

"So I put all the food in the kitchen and I came in and he said, 'I know that God brought you into my life and I don't want to spend one moment of it without you'."

"And he got down on one knee and he opened the ring box and he said, 'Will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?'

"Who can say no to that? It was wonderful."

Francie is a 51-year old ranch owner who lives in Colorado, and has caused considerably less familial discord than Dog's previous girlfriend Moon Angell.

Dog's daughter Lyssa Chapman spoke out about her unhappiness with her dad's previous relationship, but has reportedly given her blessing to this new union and 'couldn't be happier' for Dog.

The couple met when Francie's late husband Bob did some work at Dog's house, but - when Bob sadly died last year - the pair bonded over their shared grief.

Now, they're due to be wed. Life moves fast in the world of Dog the Bounty Hunter.
