Netflix has shared the trailer for Chris Hemsworth action flick Extraction 2.

Teasing the trailer, Netflix wrote: "You only get one shot at a second chance." You can check it out here:

The sequel will see Hemsworth reprise the role of Tyler Rake, who was last seen in a very bad way at the end of the original movie.

While fans may have assumed that poor old Tyler was no longer on this mortal plane - Netflix confirmed he had actually managed to survive back in September 2021.

The trailer sees Tyler being told that he was 'clinically dead nine months ago', but that he somehow was able to fight his way back to life.

And it appears that he's back to his a**e-kicking best with the trailer basically showcasing a one-minute-50-second fight scene.

Producer Joe Russo has previously said the sequel will be 'very different' to the first movie.

"It's great. It's very different from Extraction 1, which we like. It's its own movie in that regard," Russo said.

Netflix

"It has a different colour schematic. It's set in a different part of the world. It has a different pace, a different tone than the first one.

"And that, to us, is an interesting way to approach serialising a story is that it's more surprising and unexpected, and you're not going to get the exact same movie that you got the last time."

While, director Sam Hargrave has promised that things will ramp up in the second movie, explaining 'with a 'two' behind your name, you have to bring at least twice the action'.

He added: "We've got fist fights, car chases, explosions, trains, helicopters. It's like an action fan's fantasy come to life. At least it was for us action designers."

And Hemsworth has gone one further by saying the sequel has 'the most detailed and exhausting fight training I've ever been a part of'.

He went on: "There's something so satisfying about that. Not to take anything away from the special-effects-filled sort of Marvel film, but you have a lot of help in post-production there.

"Obviously, I can't fly, so they help through me that. Whereas in this film, the action is grounded in reality, and so much of it is in camera.

"So, it's a different energy, and the preparation is a lot more extensive."

Netflix also shared a summer release date for the movie: 16 June, to be exact. In the meantime, you can stream Extraction right now.
