A staple of British telly, the final series of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is in full swing.

Yep, in case you’d missed that, this year will be the last time the iconic show runs since its premiere way back in 2002.

And Ant and Dec have all kinds of stars appearing on the series so far, with last night (23 March) featuring the absolute woman of the moment.

Maya Jama took to the ITV booth as the Star Guest Announcer, following the likes of Joe Lycett, Matt Lucas and Stephen Merchant who have all appeared this year.

But the Love Island host left viewers gobsmacked after making a bit of a blunder live on TV.

So, a big part of Jama’s job on the show was of course to announce what would be happening after each ad break.

And one of those announcements kept tripping her up in a not-so-PG way.

The 29-year-old had to reveal that the touring cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang would be taking to the stage after the break.

You can already imagine how this could end up going, can’t you?

So as Jama talked about the ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang gang’, viewers seems to think she actually said ‘Sh**ty’. Now that’s quite the name for a musical.

The star ended up a little red-faced as she even admitted to the camera: “Oh gosh! That was close!”

I mean, it does seem like an accident waiting to happen as viewers joked on X: “Maya Jama trying not to say Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang every five minutes.”

Others were in stitches as they said: “Maya Jama Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang!!! Wtf!!!”

Another asked: “Why can’t Maya Jama say Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?”

'That was close'.

As one put: “Maya Jama is fully just saying Sh**ty Sh**ty Bang Bang every time.”

With many pointing out: “Hilarious ‘Sh**ty Chitty’ Bang Bang by Maya Jama on #SaturdayNightTakeaway.”

Earlier in this series, fans were concerned after seeing Simon Cowell on the show. The star was pranked by Ant and Dec but viewers were left asking if it was 'definitely Simon Cowell'.

After a previous episode of Saturday Night Takeaway, when the presenting duo made a joke about him having a 'new face', Simon denied that he had ever had a facelift.

He told the Mirror: "I think it's hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh. I haven't had a facelift or anything.

"I've had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh."
