Conor Maynard has broken his silence over his second paternity test for Charlotte Chilton’s baby.
It was revealed earlier today (22 August) that the singer’s results had come back after The Traitors star has repeated claims he is the father of her daughter, Penelope.
This follows nearly a year and a half of speculation, as Chilton believed him to be the dad both before and after the birth in October 2024.
Maynard was introduced to the TV contestant at the wrap party for the hit BBC show as his younger sister Anna, is dating the winner, Harry Clark.

He held back from addressing the speculation and Chilton’s claims until a first paternity test found him not to be the father. However, Chilton requested this be retaken, after it was suggested an ‘unidentified male’ was present when his sample was collected.
It’s said the pair were swabbed earlier this week, with the results sent via email last night. The Sun reports this second test confirmed that Maynard is not the father of Penelope.
And as Chilton is reportedly ‘shell shocked’ by the result, the singer has now taken to Instagram to issue a statement.
“Today I received the results of a second paternity test, which was requested by Charlotte Chilton regarding her baby girl, Penelope,” he wrote.

“As with the last test, this test has confirmed again that I am not Penelope's father.
“As Charlotte requested, Penelope's, Charlotte's and my DNA were all taken at a Ministry of Justice-accredited DNA testing facility that was selected by Charlotte. The results are therefore conclusive.
“This has been difficult for me and my family, and I'm so grateful for everyone's support. I'm glad we can now finally draw a line under this. I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives. Conor.”
He spoke earlier this year about being ‘painted as a dead-beat dad’ due to Chilton’s claims as a source says she is now ‘reeling from’ the result of the second test.

Her reps said in a statement: “For those of you have followed Charlotte’s journey since her appearance on BBC’s The Traitors, will know she has fought an extraordinary battle for truth and justice with heartfelt conviction.
“We are forever grateful to everyone who has shown unwavering love and support to Charlotte over the past 12 months.”
Giving thanks to her legal advisors, they added: “Charlotte will not take time to process, heal and reflect and when she is ready, she will finally share her story in full.”
