People call for Big Brother contestant to be removed after throwing alcohol at Muslim housemate

The 56-year-old stirred up some controversy last night

People are calling for another Big Brother contestant to be removed from the show.

This comes after Caroline threw alcohol at housemate Farida, who is Muslim.

Last night’s (23 October) episode saw them all take on a shopping task onboard British Eyeways Flight BB2025 as the house was transformed into an airport.

And things soon plunged into chaos with a whole load of rule breaks.

This year’s series of the ITV reality show has faced multiple controversies so far, with housemate George having been removed earlier this month due to ‘repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour’.

Caroline has also faced criticism from viewers throughout her Big Brother experience, and the 56-year-old continued to poke the bear of controversy during last night’s episode.

Along with Richard and Zelah, she took on the role of a passenger on a stag do while Farida was a typical tourist along with Nancy.

But the housemate’s flight got longer and longer after repeated rule breaks and Caorline was one of those messing about.

While sitting in the makeshift aircraft, the PR professional threw booze about with some of it hitting Farida whose religion strictly prohibits alcohol.

Then, later on in the episode, Zelah went to Caroline to discuss the incident as she said some of the alcohol had gotten on their fellow housemate.

“Did she drink it?” she asked, in a jokey manner.

“No, she didn’t Caroline,” Zelah responded, “but I saw her go like this and I looked at her and went, ‘Are you okay?’ and she went, ‘No, no, it’s fine’.”

Caroline then got more fired up as she slammed: “I can’t live my life not being able to play because someone doesn’t like it.”

And she ended up launching into another rant as she added during the episode: “I had to eat, today, halal meat. Halal meat. That was all. Why is that fair?”

While a confused Zelah responded: “No one said you had to eat it.”

“Well, no one said she had to have her face in the way when I was throwing a bit of alcohol,” Caroline hit out.

And viewers on social media are not happy about the incident as they say she ‘needs to go’.

“Zelah is so sweet for checking in on Farida and asking them to be careful,” one wrote.

“I’m sure Farida was uncomfortable with them throwing the alcohol around and it going on her, but she didn’t want to cause a scene and make it a big thing.”

“Big Brother needs to pull up Caroline for her offensive behaviour,” another wrote. “Don’t give me bull that she’s having a laugh. THIS is not a joke.”

Others described the incident as ‘shocking’ as they hoped she ‘got a warning by Big Brother’.

However, there are some who side with Caroline as she’s apparently ‘keeping it real’.

A Big Brother spokesperson said: "All Housemates receive Respect and Inclusion training and an extensive briefing from the Big Brother Senior team to prepare them for living in the House and to set out Big Brother’s expectation for appropriate behaviour and language. Housemates are monitored 24 hours a day and instances of inappropriate behaviour are responded to appropriately when required."
