George Gilbert has finally revealed the deeply offensive views he shared on Big Brother that led to him being removed with ‘immediate effect’.

Gilbert stoked controversy throughout his time on Big Brother, culminating in him being kicked off the show for an incident that was not aired by ITV.

The broadcaster has not stated what he said, saying that it was for his repeated use of ‘unacceptable language’ which led to multiple warnings.

"Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme," the broadcaster said in a statement of his removal.

Earlier this evening (13 October), Gilbert appeared on the YouTube show of disgraced journalist Dan Wootton.

Wootton's contract with the Daily Mail was terminated for his part in an on-air discussion with actor Laurence Fox about a female journalist on Dan Wootton Tonight, in which viewers complained that his comments were 'sexist, misogynistic and offensive'.

In the new YouTube episode, Gilbert and Wootton complained about 'woke' culture before touching upon what led to his removal from the Big Brother house.

Gilbert revealed that he had been discussing geopolitics when he stated that he believed the rumours that Israel was in some way behind Epstein Island - a small private island in the United States Virgin Islands previously owned by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Gilbert also revealed in his own YouTube video - posted shortly after his appearance on Wootton's live stream - that during a discussion about anti-Semitism and 'Jewish conspiracies', he said that ‘the world's wisest men have anti-Semitic views in their writing, and there can’t be smoke without fire'.

This anti-Semitic statement is what he claims led to his removal from the TV show.

In addition to this, Gilbert claimed he had received a warning for an unaired exchange in which he stated that he feels 'somewhat obligated' to have children with 'someone who is similar looking to me' to preserve his ancestry and 'pass on the red hair genes'.

He reportedly specified in a joking way that if he had a baby with a Black woman, he'd 'feel he'd be betraying his kind'.

Gilbert broke his silence with a post on Instagram last week, in which he was reading a book titled Jews of England, posted alongside a quote from Albert Einstein, reading: "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."

He also released a statement in which he acknowledged he had gone ‘too far’, saying: “As a flag-bearer of freedom of speech, I never hesitate to discuss and question any topic regardless of how contentious it may be.

"Sadly, the boundaries of what is deemed offensive are subjective. I evidently went too far this time by crossing their line one too many times.

"It is a shame that a specific debate could not be had and that it has had to end like this. Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it in for me."

Many of George’s statements that led to warnings were not broadcast by ITV, however, one incident that saw him receive a warning was aired.

This saw the group playing truth or dare, in which they were asked to describe things they don’t like about other housemates.

During this, George mocked one of the other housemates, Sam, who is an LGBTQ+ activist, by using ‘limp wrists’ and a high voice to imitate them.

ITV declined to comment when approached by LADbible.
