Hulk Hogan: Real American is set to become the brand-new hit Netflix documentary that will surely dominate discussion online.
The documentary is incredibly controversial, particularly due to the decision to ignore Hogan’s multiple racism scandals.
This includes the fact that the doc completely ignores a leaked recording of Hulk Hogan hoping that his son ‘isn’t reincarnated as a black man’.
They also spend only two minutes of the four hours of the Netflix documentary on a separate incident in which he said it was ‘disgusting’ that his daughter Brooke Hogan was dating a black man.

What is included however is a heavy focus on Hogan’s family, particularly his ex-wife Linda Hogan and their son Nick Hogan. Both were the focus of the reality TV show Hogan Knows Best, along with Brooke.
Brooke is the daughter of Hulk and Linda, but she does not feature in the Netflix documentary, appearing in audio-only archival footage but not providing a new interview.
Brooke Hogan was estranged from her father and was taken out his will

The main reason she did not feature is that, prior to his death when the majority of the interviews took place, Brooke was estranged from Hulk, whose real name is Terry Bollea.
Speaking to US Weekly, she stated that in her father’s final months she felt ‘powerless’ and that they hadn’t spoken for two years.
She said that this was because of her ‘vocal distaste’ for his personal circle, adding: “He said, ‘You go this way, I go that way’. That hurt. I think that’s what makes me the most annoying member of my family.
“They know that I will just beat you up until you do the right thing. I could see what was happening with him with the people around him. I could also see his potential and see how life could be. And he just wasn’t there.”
Brooke continued: “I don’t know if we would have ever reconnected, even if he were alive, because of the mindset he was in.
“He would have had to have a change of mindset and a change of company. I don’t know if he was there. I don’t know if he was willing to do that.”
She ended up removing herself from her father’s will, leaving the full $5 million estate to her brother Nick.
Brooke spoke out about why she wasn’t in the doc and acknowledged her complicated feelings over her father’s death

Speaking to PageSix about what she’s up to now, Brooke said: “I’ve got new music out — I just got back with my label… We’ve got a whole album loaded and ready to rock, and we’ve been steadily releasing music.
“It was crazy because that happened, truly because of fans. The fans were, you know, raising me up and dusting me off and saying, Brooke, come back.”
She also added why she wasn’t in the doc however, saying: ““I personally chose not to be part of it just because I felt like… for instance, if my dad’s going to do a documentary, he would call people he knows and says, ‘Hey, Linda, I’m doing a documentary. Will you speak for me?’ ‘Hey, Nick, will you do a documentary? Will you speak about stuff?'”
“No matter how much people have either dogged my dad or loved my dad, if he calls and says, ‘Hey, there’s an opportunity for you to be on TV,’ everybody’s tune changes real quick.”
“All of a sudden they’re on, you know Team Hogan. And it’s like, I didn’t want to be part of something that just felt … I didn’t want to be in the company of people that I’ve seen switch up, I guess.” She stated that ‘all she can do’ is tell her own story.
