This season of Celebrity Traitors has seen an unprecedented level of speaking out from the contestants on the show, with leaks spoiling the first episode’s murder choice and numerous celebrities giving an insight into what happened in the castle.
Celebrity Traitors season two has, despite this, been a huge success so far with 8.9 million viewers tuning in live to see Richard E Grant flub his lines in the very first episode.
Episode two ends on a real cliffhanger, though many think Grant is already gone in the banishment vote, but either Hannah Fry or Jerry Grant will be murdered early in the episode.
James Blunt however has seemed to lay a hint towards which of the two of them is going to go in a comment where he revealed a secret strategy he carried out at the roundtable.

In the roundtable at the end of episode two, Blunt cast suspicions on Hannah Fry, stating that the ‘most obvious solution’ is often truest.

He claimed that with one murder and a recruitment the logical thing to do would be to murder one big threat to the traitors, Amol Rajan, and recruit an even bigger threat to the traitors, Hannah Fry.

He moved the discussion on quickly after having planted the seed however and, in a comment on Instagram, he has confirmed this was part of a hidden strategy.
One commenter said: “I’d like to think it’s a tactic to keep her in the game. If her name is brought up the traitors are less likely to murder her.” Blunt confirmed this was his intentions, simply commenting: “Bingo!”
James Blunt has broken one of the BBC’s strict post-production rules

This reveal was debated on Reddit as to whether it actually confirmed that Hannah wasn’t going to die, since it would be a slightly odd brag from Blunt if it wasn’t successful.
The more vital story however is that this season has seen by far the contestants with the loosest lips, with Blunt being the latest to reveal what goes on behind the scenes.
In the civilian version of the game all contestants are signed up to ironclad NDAs with Mike Cotton, executive producer on both versions of the UK Traitors, saying to Variety: “They sign a lot of paperwork, and the Traitors sign their own oath and agreement with us. There’s lots of things like that, but there was never a moment that we heard when anyone revealed their identity and honestly, it wouldn’t make any sense.”
Fiona from last season meanwhile joked that she didn’t want to ‘lose her house’ by revealing to anyone what happened on the show or her secret role, outside of telling immediate family.
The rules in place prevent the contestants from blabbing about strategy that may spoil the series and, if Hannah Fry survives on Thursday night, James Blunt may have done exactly that.
Celebrity Traitors returns Thursday 8 October, at 8pm on BBC One.
