Celebrity Traitors James and Maya have made fatal mistake no matter who they murder next

Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Celebrity Traitors

It’s here LADs, we’ve finally hit that point in this series of The Celebrity Traitors where we get a murder in plain sight.

But before we even know who has been killed, our Traitors may have already made a fatal mistake.

Their murderous mission came later in last night’s episode (16 October), after we saw Faithful Joe Lycett banished at the round table.

Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and newest recruit King Kenny were tasked with ‘boring someone to death’. The YouTube sprayed the peacock perfume into the room, with the presenter and comedian tried to get a Faithful to yawn before time ran out.

And while their incessant yawning may have looked suspicious enough to us The Celebrity Traitors viewers, they may have messed up by both being in there for so long.

Let's hope those yawns aren't their downfall. (BBC)

Maya and James’ mistake

With Kenny admitting he wouldn’t be so useful in the drawn out chatting part to try and prompt a yawn, he left his fellow Traitors to the hard part.

Maya and James decided their best approach would be to remain together in the room and see who happened to take a seat with them.

But this seemed to take some time – plenty of Faithful stepped in or lingered without staying in the room.

And eventually, while Miranda Hart was learning Little Mix choreography from Leigh-Anne Pinnock (instant meme), Jerry Hall and Ross Kemp unknowingly took up camp in the murder room.

But James and Maya both stayed in there this whole time. So many Faithful saw them both in there and saw who they were in there with. A potential mega mistake.

“James & Maya can’t get away with this bc no matter who they kill, everyone knows they were in a room w the murdered player all night,” one viewer wrote on X.

“If this is what gets Maya and James found out I’m actually gonna be fuming, such a stupid murder in plain sight,” another added.

Ross is always watching his back - will it actually pay off this time? (BBC)

Ross Kemp’s suspicions could finally be helpful

Look, we were all laughing at him at the beginning and haven’t stopped really.

But Ross being hyper suspicious of every little thing could finally help the Faithful on this occasion.

If it’s Jerry that gets murdered after this near week-long yawn cliffhanger, then the hard man is surely going to work out in an instant that Maya and James killed her.

The Traitors will have to hope that Ross yawns first and the Faithful collectively believe they were so hard on him that he could’ve been murdered at any point – regardless of being in that room for so long.

“If it’s not Ross that’s murdered then he’s for sure gunna rat James & Maya out,” one user pointed out.

“I hope that Ross yawns cause he’s definitely clocked James & Maya,” plenty agree.

The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm.
