Fans of Celebrity Traitors have been left raging after YouTuber Niko Omilana was the first to be voted out of the show, and they think they’ve figured out why.
The first three episodes of the BBC game show spin-off have been met with a massive response from fans, with the show raking in a whopping seven million views for last night’s episode.
Episode two of Celebrity Traitors was left on a massive cliffhanger, making fans wait almost a week to find out which of Niko Omilana and Kate Garraway had been sent home.
Omilana, who recently went viral after infiltrating the Unite the Kingdom march undercover as a white man and exposing the racism on display, was the one to ultimately get the boot.

Despite the first person being voted out usually being a matter of poor luck considering how little information the celebs have to go off of, fans noticed a trend in Omilana going home first that left them furious.

One fan posted to X, saying: “They’ve all been cowards there. Niko has been voted because he’s an outsider and he’s not in their celebrity world.
"Nothing to do with the game.”
This was not the only viewer to suggest that Omilana may have been sent home, not because he was the most likely to be a Traitor, but because he was the only non-establishment celebrity due to his YouTube background.

Another fan replied pointing to Niko’s compelling (and correct) argument that he was being set up by the Traitors. He said: “I can’t believe it. He sussed out the exact plan the traitors had, laid it out in front of everyone and they still voted him out.

“He was the only Faithful who provided any sort of logical thinking about how the game was being played.”
A third fan posted on X saying the same, tweeting: “Niko Omilana has been voted OUT of the traitors at the first opportunity.
“It’s shameful from the older cast just voting him out because he’s a youtuber and they don’t know him.”

One viewer took to Reddit, saying they were disappointed because they’d only been watching the show because of Niko.
Another commented saying: “Not celebrity enough for the ‘real’ celebs, that's my take on it.”

Omilana has jokingly taken to his Instagram story sarcastically saying he ‘couldn’t care less’ about being booted out, and defended himself by saying this is the ‘worst group of Faithfuls ever’, pointing out that some celebs that voted for him outright admitted they didn’t think it was him.
Omilana specifically addressed in his story the idea that he was sent home for being a YouTuber.

He said: "The way in which [the Faithfuls] are approaching the game is, 'Oh, it's Niko. You are a YouTuber. You are gone, you untrustworthy scum.'"
He claimed that a lot of the roundtable discussion that saw him given the boot was cut, but he said it was 'intense' and there were 'people going crazy on me'.
"I knew I was gone," he said.
Celebrity Traitors returns on BBC One tonight at 9pm.
