Celebrity Traitors has a secret mystery going on involving ‘betrayals’ and, since it has been disproven to have something to do with voting, it looks like the BBC have included a secret role we’ve yet to have revealed.
Celebrity Traitors season two has been full of ‘betrayals’ but according to a BBC mural in Manchester there has been exactly 28, with this episode shockingly doubling after the most recent episode.
The BBC have been maintaining the mural to show who’s died or been banished, but curiously they have a counter for banishments, recruitments, and ‘betrayals’.
It sat at 14 last week and rose by 14 after the last episode, which saw Maya and James make a likely fatal error. Many initially theorised that it could be about voting but one fan on Reddit showed that after episode one the counter sat at two, and with no roundtable in that episode it was nothing to do with this.

Celebrity Traitors fans on the street spoke exclusively to LADbible to show off their theories about the betrayals, with Adam from Manchester saying: “I think it’s where someone’s said something deliberately misleading… I know Ross Kemp is good for a bit of betrayals.
“I think betrayal is when you double cross someone or call their bluff.”
Laura, from Liverpool, said: “It could be anything but one of the things in the past with the secret traitor is maybe something about the different rooms, if someone goes into a specific room do they get extra points or do they get a shield if they sit in a chair a certain amount of times.”

The most common theory however is one presented by Maria, who suggested that it might be to do with faithful talking behind the backs of their friends to suggest they’re a traitor, but also added: “There could be a secret traitor, it could be one even we don’t know about.”
A secret role of some kind is the most likely theory, with one fan having posted on Reddit: “It’s either totally random or it’s something yet to be revealed.
“If it’s the latter, I would guess it is something that is actually hidden from the audience rather than something we can currently work out.
“There is a latent demand in the fanbase for more mystery in the format. This was the primary purpose of the Secret Traitor, to try and satisfy fans who wanted to know what it was like to be in the dark.”

Of the possible faithful who might have a secret role we haven’t realised yet, there was one unanimous answer: Miranda.
Adam said: “I think she’s devious and clever and I don’t think people would believe she had a secret role.”
Laura however suggested that whilst she’s currently presenting herself as a ‘mother hen’ that might be a ruse, saying: “I reckon she’s got a bit of an evil mother-in-law step-mom side to her.”
Whatever the ‘betrayals’ counters means it will be sure to continue making Celebrity Traitors the must-see-TV show in the UK right now.
Celebrity Traitors returns on BBC One tonight at 8pm.
